Yevgeny Yurievich Steblov (russian: Евге́ний Ю́рьевич Стебло́в; born December 8, 1945, Moscow) is a Soviet and Russian film and theater actor, honored as a People's Artist of Russia in 1993. He serves as First Deputy Chairman of the Union of Theatre Workers of the Russian Federation. Biography Yevgeny Steblov was born in 1945 in Moscow. His father, Yuri Steblov (1924-2000) was a radio engineer, and his mother, Martha (b. 1924), was a teacher. His uncle, Victor Steblov, is a known Moscow bibliophile and manager of a bookstore. Yevgeny Steblov graduated from the Boris Shchukin Theatre Institute. In his first big movie role, he played Sasha Shatalov in the film Georgiy Daneliya ''Walking the Streets of Moscow'' (1963). Yevgeny Yakovlevich Vesnik (russian: Евге́ний Я́ковлевич Ве́сник; 15 January 1923 in Petrograd – 10 April 2009 in Moscow) was a Soviet and Russian actor. The son of Yakov Vesnik, the first director of the Kryvorizhstal plant, he fought the Germans in World War II. He worked at the Maly Theatre from 1963 and was named a People's Artist of the USSR in 1989, three years before his retirement from the stage. Career Primarily a comedian, Vesnik is remembered as the first Soviet actor to play the character of Ostap Bender. Vsevolod Vasilyevich Sanayev (Все′волод Васи′льевич Сана′ев; 25 2, o.s.February 1912 in Tula, Russian Empire – 27 January 1996 in Moscow, Russia) was a Soviet film and stage actor popular in the 1960s–1970s.
