Rolf Einar Fife (born 18 October 1961) is a Norwegian diplomat. He is a law graduate by education and started working for the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1986. He served as head of department from 1997 and deputy under-secretary of state from 2002 to 2014. The Royal Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs ( Norwegian (Bokmål): ''Det kongelige utenriksdepartement''; Norwegian (Nynorsk): ''Det kongelege utanriksdepartement'') is the foreign ministry of the Kingdom of Norway. It was established on June 7, 1905, the same day the Parliament of Norway (Stortinget) decided to dissolve the personal union with Sweden. The ministry is headed by Minister of Foreign Affairs, currently Anniken Huitfeldt, who is a minister in the Støre cabinet that has governed since 14 October 2021. The ministry also has a Minister of International Development. Tarald Osnes Brautaset (born 28 September 1946) is a Norwegian diplomat. He is a cand.polit. by education, and started working for the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1973. He was a member of the Norwegian delegation to the European Union from 1988 to 1994, during the negotiations for Norwegian membership in the Union (which were stopped after the 1994 Norwegian European Union membership referendum) and then the European Economic Area. He then served as head of department in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs until 1997, and as an advisor from 1997 to 2000 and 2005 to 2008. He was the Norwegian ambassador to the United Kingdom from 2000 to 2005 and later the ambassador to France from 2009 to 2014. Oda Helen Sletnes (born 10 February 1953) is a Norwegian diplomat. She was born in Trondheim, and studied architecture at the Norwegian Institute of Technology. She started working for the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1981. She served in the Norwegian European Union delegation in Brussels from 1997 to 2001. After a period as deputy under-secretary of state in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from 2003 to 2006, she was the Norwegian ambassador to the European Union from 2006 to 2011.
