Rolando Sousa
Víctor Rolando Sousa Huanambal (born 22 August 1961) is a Peruvian lawyer and Fujimorist politician. He was a former Congressman representing Lima from 2006 to 2011, elected under the Fujimorist Alliance for the Future in which, he also ran unsuccessfully for the second vice presidency as the running mate of Congresswoman Martha Chávez under the Fujimorist Alliance for the Future, in which, the ticket placed fourth. He is a former Representative to the Andean Parliament serving from 2016 to 2021. Early life Sousa was born in Lambayeque on 22 August 1961. Career Since 2001 he was former President Alberto Fujimori’s lawyer in Peru, in association with the criminal attorney César Nakasaki, in which the defense which was taken over by another lawyer, in 2013. Lambayeque, Peru
Lambayeque is a city on the coast of northern Peru and capital of the homonymous district and province in the department of Lambayeque. It is located 4.7 km from the city of Chiclayo and 13 km from the Pacific Ocean. The Peruvian Aprista Party ( es, Partido Aprista Peruano, PAP) () is a Peruvian political party and a member of the Socialist International. The party was founded as the American Popular Revolutionary Alliance (APRA) by Víctor Raúl Haya de la Torre, who originally intended to create a network of anti-imperialist social and political movements in Latin America. Fujimorism () denotes the policies and the political ideology of former President of Peru Alberto Fujimori as well as the personality cult built around him, his policies and his family. The ideology is defined by authoritarianism, its support for neoliberal economics, opposition to communism, and socially and culturally conservative stances such as opposition to LGBT rights and school curriculums including gender equality or sex education. Keiko Sofía Fujimori Higuchi (; ja, 藤森 恵子, Fujimori Keiko; born 25 May 1975) is a Peruvian politician. 2016 Peruvian General Election
General elections were held in Peru on 10 April 2016 to determine the president, vice-presidents, composition of the Congress of the Republic of Peru and the Peruvian representatives of the Andean Parliament. In the race for the presidency, incumbent President Ollanta Humala was ineligible for re-election due to constitutional term limits. Popular Force candidate Keiko Fujimori, daughter of former President Alberto Fujimori, was the leading candidate in the first round with almost 40 per cent of the vote, but fell short of the 50 per cent majority required to avoid a second round. National Unity ( es, Unidad Nacional, UN) was a Peruvian center-right, mainly a Christian democratic electoral alliance. History National Unity was founded in 2000 by Lourdes Flores Nano and was considered Peru's third largest party. General elections were held in Peru in on 9 April 2006 to elect the President, two Vice-Presidents, 120 members of Congress and five members of the Andean Parliament for the 2006–2011 period.
