Roksana Zasina
Roksana Zasina (born 21 August 1988) is a Polish freestyle wrestler. She is a five-time medalist, including gold, at the European Wrestling Championships. She is also a bronze medalist at the World Wrestling Championships and a silver medalist at the European Games. Career Zasina competed in the women's freestyle 51kg event at the 2010 World Wrestling Championships held in Moscow, Russia. She lost her bronze medal match against Sofia Mattsson of Sweden. In 2015, Zasina represented Poland at the European Games held in Baku, Azerbaijan and she won the silver medal in the 53kg event. At the 2017 World Wrestling Championships held in Paris, France, she won one of the bronze medals in the women's freestyle 53kg event. In 2020, she won the silver medal in the women's 53kg event at the Individual Wrestling World Cup held in Belgrade, Serbia. Zasina represented Poland at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Japan. 2021 World Wrestling Championships
The 2021 World Wrestling Championships was the 17th edition of the World Wrestling Championships of combined events and was held from 2 to 10 October 2021 in Oslo, Norway. The event was subsequent to the 2019 World Championships due to the cancelation of the 2020 edition during the COVID-19 pandemic. The 2020 Individual World Cup was held as replacement for the World Wrestling Championships. 2024 European Wrestling Championships
The 2024 European Wrestling Championships was held from 12 to 18 February 2024 in Bucharest, Romania. At the 2024 European Championships, in accordance with sanctions imposed following by the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine, wrestlers from Russia and Belarus were not permitted to use the name, flag, or anthem of Russia or Belarus. They instead participated as "Individual Neutral Athletes (AIN)", their medals were not included in the official medal table. 2020 Individual Wrestling World Cup
The inaugural 2020 Individual World Wrestling Cup was held in Belgrade, Serbia from 12–18 December 2020. It was a replacement event for the 2020 World Championships, which should have taken place in the same location, but since some criteria were not fulfilled, such as not less than 8 top nations from the previous championships to participate, the event is not counted as world championships. The Cup took place amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, which caused this and other problems. The United States for instance chose not to participate.
