Rok Stipčević
Rok Stipčević (born May 20, 1986) is a Croatian professional basketball player for Krka of the Slovenian League. Standing at , he plays at the point guard position. Professional career Stipčević grew up in Zadar, Croatia, where he started to play basketball for KK Zadar, joining the senior team in 2003. In season 2005/06 he was loaned to KK Borik Puntamika. He played for Pallacanestro Varese in 2010–11 season. Stipičević is of Arbanasi ( Albanian) origin. On July 11, 2012, he signed one season with an option for a second one with Emporio Armani Milano. He left them in January 2013, and signed with Scavolini Pesaro until the end of the season. In September 2013, he signed a one-year deal with Tofaş S.K. The Albanians of Croatia ( sq, Shqiptarët në Kroaci; hr, Albanci u Hrvatskoj) are people of full or partial Albanian ancestry and heritage in Croatia. They are an autochthonous national minority recognized by the Constitution of Croatia. Arbanasi People
Arbanasi ( Arbanasi: ''Arbëneshë'') is a community in the Zadar region, Croatia, of Albanian origin, who traditionally speak the Arbanasi dialect of Gheg Albanian. Their name is an obsolete way to say ''Albanians'' in Croatian and is the toponymy of the first Arbanasi settlement in the region, which today is a suburb of Zadar. In Albanian literature, they are known as "Albanians of Zadar" (). Distribution Today, the community is spread across Croatia. Their original settlements were Arbanasi of Zadar and some villages around Zadar, namely Zemunik, Gračac, Dračevac, Crno, Ploča, etc. The former village derived its name from its founders, the Albanians. 2009 Mediterranean Games
The 2009 Mediterranean Games, officially the XVI Mediterranean Games ( it, XVI Giochi del Mediterraneo) and commonly known as Pescara 2009, was a multi-sport event held in Pescara, Italy, from 26 June to 5 July 2009. It was governed by the International Committee of Mediterranean Games (ICMG) (french: Comité international des Jeux méditerranéens). A total of 3,368 athletes (2,183 men and 1,185 women) from 23 National Olympic Committees (NOCs) participated in the Games. Montenegro participated for the first time at the Mediterranean Games, after their independence in 2006. The Mediterranean Games is a multi-sport event organised by the International Committee of Mediterranean Games (CIJM). It is held every four years among athletes from countries bordering the Mediterranean Sea in Africa, Asia and Europe.
