Roger Walker (actor)
Roger Walker (born 22 December 1944 in Bristol, England) is an English actor. He moved to Derby at an early age and was a drama teacher at Tupton Hall School in Derbyshire in the early 1970s. His first television appearance was as a replacement for Matthew Corbett as a singer on the popular children's television show, '' “Rainbow”,'' in 1976. He appeared on the show for four years, before being replaced by Freddy Marks in 1980. He had many television roles during the 1980s and early 1990s, including ''Terry and June'', '' Big Deal'', ''Emmerdale Farm'', ''Bodger and Badger'' and '' The Darling Buds of May''. He played the role of Bunny Charlson in the soap opera ''Eldorado'' in 1992. Since then, he has guest-starred in long-running series such as ''Casualty'', ''Peak Practice'', ''The Queen's Nose'', ''The Bill'' and '' Heartbeat''. Roger Walker (architect)
Roger Neville Walker (born 1942) is a New Zealand architect based in Wellington. Career After graduating in architecture from the University of Auckland in the 1960s, Walker worked for the architecture firm Calder, Fowler & Styles, until he established his own practice in the early 1970s. He now runs Walker Architecture & Design in Wellington. Like his compatriot Ian Athfield, Walker is notable for his unconventional design approach, which came out of a reaction against the then-dominant modernist architecture in the 1960s and 1970s. Walker appeared in the 2021 TV series ''Designing Dreams,'' hosted by Matthew Ridge, in which he visited his favourite houses. Honours and awards In the 1998 Queen's Birthday Honours, Walker was appointed an Officer of the New Zealand Order of Merit, for services to architecture. Roger Anthony Walker (born 15 November 1966) is an English former professional footballer of Maltese descent who played as a winger. Playing career Born in Bolton, Walker began his career with Bolton Wanderers, making 12 appearances in the Football League between 1984 and 1986. Later he played for Swedish team IF Friska Viljor, before returning to England at Gillingham, where he spent a year without making a League appearance. Walker later spent time in Switzerland, playing for FC Bern 1894, FC Baden and FC Zürich between 1991 and 1997. He also played in Malta for a number of teams including Sliema Wanderers, Hibernians and Marsaxlokk. Coaching career In June 2022, Walker, having remained in Malta, was appointed as assistant coach and youth team coach at Mellieħa. Roger Walker (rugby Union)
Roger Walker (18 September 1846 – 11 November 1919) was a rugby union forward who played club rugby for Manchester Rugby Club and international rugby for England. Walker later became the President of the Rugby Football Union, and in that role accompanied the British Isles team on their 1896 tour of South Africa. Walker was also a notable cricketer, playing in two first-class matches for Lancashire. Rugby career Walker came to note as a rugby player during the early history of the sport, playing club rugby for Manchester. In 1874, Walker was selected to play for the England national team, in a game against Scotland, only the fourth international rugby game to be played. In the days before forward positional play, Walker was classed simply as a forward, as part of the twenty man team. England won 1-0, thanks to a dropped goal from Freeman.
