Roger Ryan
Roger P. Ryan (1944 - 11 May 2009) was an Irish hurler and selector. At club level he played with Toomevara and was also a member of the Tipperary senior hurling team. Playing career Ryan first played hurling at juvenile and underage levels with the Toomevara club. He joined the club's senior team as a 17-year-old in 1962 and won a North Tipperary SHC in his first year with the team. Ryan never played at minor or under-21 levels with Tipperary, however, he joined the senior team during the 1969-70 National League. He was at full-forward when Tipperary beat Kilkenny in the 1971 All-Ireland final. Ryan continued to line out with the Tipperary senior team until 1976. By this stage he had transferred clubs by joining Roscrea in 1974. Ryan won a Tipperary SHC in 1980 and served as team captain in his final season in 1981. Millner was an electoral divisions of the Northern Territory, electoral division of the Northern Territory Legislative Assembly, Legislative Assembly in Australia's Northern Territory. One of the Legislative Assembly's original electorates, it was first contested at the first election in 1974. It was named after the suburb of Millner, Northern Territory, Millner, which in turn was named for James Millner (doctor), James Millner, a doctor and early Australian explorer of the Northern Territory who drowned on the ''SS Gothenburg'' tragedy. It was abolished in 2008 and replaced with the new electorate of electoral division of Fong Lim, Fong Lim. Country Liberal Party
The Country Liberal Party of the Northern Territory (CLP) is a centre-right political party in Australia's Northern Territory. In local politics it operates in a two-party system with the Australian Labor Party (ALP). It also contests federal elections as an affiliate of the Liberal Party of Australia and National Party of Australia, the two partners in the federal coalition. The CLP originated in 1971 as a division of the Australian Country Party (later renamed the National Party), the first local branches of which were formed in 1966. It adopted its current name in 1974 to attract Liberal Party supporters, but maintained a sole affiliation with the Country Party until 1979 when it adopted its current joint association. Northern Territory Legislative Assembly
The Legislative Assembly of the Northern Territory is the unicameral legislature of the Northern Territory of Australia. The Legislative Assembly has 25 members, each elected in single-member electorates for four-year terms. The voting method for the Assembly is the full-preferential voting system, having previously been optional preferential voting. Elections are on the fourth Saturday in August of the fourth year after the previous election, but can be earlier in the event of a no confidence vote in the Government. The most recent election for the Legislative Assembly was the 2020 election held on 22 August 2020. The next election is scheduled for 24 August 2024. Persons who are qualified under the ''Commonwealth Electoral Act 1918'' to vote for a member for the Northern Territory in the House of Representatives are qualified to vote at an election for the Legislative Assembly. It is principally funded by direct grants from the Australian Government and is administered by a government-appointed board.
