Roger Proot
Roger Proot (born 21 November 1905 in Woumen - died 29 September 1971 in Bruges) was a Belgian football player. His position on the field was forward, although he also could function as back-up goalkeeper. Proot made his debut at the highest level of Belgian football in a 2–1 home win with Cercle Brugge against Standard de Liège, on 14 December 1924. Roger Proot would play most of his career for Cercle. His main achievements with the green and black Bruges side were the national championship victories in 1927 and 1930, and the 1926-27 cup final win. Proot also became twice top scorer of the team, in 1931 and 1933. After Cercle Brugge were relegated to second division in 1936, Proot stayed for one more season. His last match for Cercle was an 8–0 away loss against Duffel, on 17 April 1937. Arthur Ruysschaert
Arthur Ruysschaert (born 21 February 1910 in Bruges – died 10 January 1995 in Bruges) was a Belgian footballer. His position on the field was striker. Ruysschaert made his debut at the highest level of Belgian football on 18 April 1926, when he played with Cercle Brugge in a 3–2 home win against RSC Anderlecht. With Cercle he won the league twice (1927, 1930), the cup once (1927) and the second division once (1938). Arthur Ruysschaert is the only player who is in the top 10 most appearances ever as well as in the top 10 most goals ever for Cercle Brugge. He ended his career with Belgian coast side VG Oostende. After his footballing career, Ruysschaert became youth coach at Cercle Brugge. Alphonse Decorte
Alphonse Emile Pierre Decorte (2 August 1909, in Bruges – 31 May 1977, in Bruges) was a Belgian Association football, footballer. His position on the field was Forward (association football), forward. Throughout his career, Decorte only played for one team: Cercle Brugge. He made his debut in the Belgian First Division 1927–28, 1927–28 season, right after Cercle Brugge's Belgian First Division 1926–27, national championship and Belgian Cup 1926-27, cup final victory. In Decorte's first match, Cercle lost 5–1 at the pitch of K. Beerschot V.A.C., Beerschot. Even though Decorte never really became a first team regular, he managed twice to become Cercle Brugge#Top league goalscorers per season, top scorer of the team, in Belgian First Division 1931-32, 1932 and Belgian First Division 1932-33, 1933. Michel Vanderbauwhede (19 May 1901, Boezinge - 3 July 1977, Ypres) was a Belgian football player. He was a striker. Vanderbauwhede made his debut at the highest level of Belgian football in 1920. He played with Cercle Brugge in an away win against AA Gent. With Cercle, he also won the league twice (1927, 1930) and the cup once (1927).
