Roger Kerr (footballer)
Roger Alan Kerr (born 18 December 1960) is a former Australian rules football player and coach. He played senior football for and in the West Australian Football League (WAFL), including the 1985 premiership with East Fremantle, and 24 games with in the South Australian National Football League (SANFL), including the 1988 premiership. He later coached WAFL side . Early life Kerr was born in Calcutta in 1960 to Coral Beryl and Denzil Mowbray Kerr. His Anglo-Indian parents were also born in Calcutta. His father was a metallurgist and represented Bengal as a featherweight boxer, while his mother played basketball. The family immigrated to Australia in 1969, settling in Fremantle, Western Australia. Playing career Kerr made his senior debut for East Fremantle during the 1981 WAFL season. Mark Watson (Australian Footballer)
Mark Douglas Anton Watson (born 4 April 1960) is a retired Australian rules football player and coach. He played for Claremont and Perth in the West Australian Football League (WAFL), winning the 1987 Sandover Medal as the league's best player. He also coached South Fremantle for two seasons. Personal life Watson grew up on the family dairy farm in Denmark, Western Australia, one of three brothers. He has four children with his wife Gail and worked as a crane operator at Fremantle Ports after leaving football. Playing career Watson won four consecutive premierships from 1978 to 1981 as a centreman with Denmark in the Southern Districts Football League. He moved to Perth to train with Claremont. Daniel Kerr
Daniel Alan Kerr (born 16 May 1983) is a former Australian rules footballer who played for the West Coast Eagles in the Australian Football League (AFL). He played 220 games for the club between 2001 and 2013, as a hard-running inside midfielder. Kerr was born and raised in Perth, Western Australia. His father Roger also played professional football, while his sister Samantha plays professional soccer. Kerr was recruited to West Coast with the 18th pick in the 2000 National Draft. He finished runner-up in the 2001 AFL Rising Star, and in 2003, aged 20, won the Goal of the Year award. Kerr placed in the top three of the Brownlow Medal in three consecutive seasons from 2005 to 2007, notably finishing runner-up to teammate Ben Cousins in 2005 by a single vote. 2017 National Women's Soccer League Season
The 2017 National Women's Soccer League season was the fifth season of the National Women's Soccer League, the top division of women's soccer in the United States. The National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) is a professional women's soccer league at the top of the United States league system. It is owned by the teams and, until 2020, was under a management contract with the United States Soccer Federation. Samantha May Kerr (born 10 September 1993) is an Australian professional football player who plays as a forward for Chelsea in the FA Women's Super League and the Australia women's national team (the ''Matildas''), which she has captained since 2019. Perth Football Club
The Perth Football Club, nicknamed the Demons, is an Australian rules football club based in Lathlain, Western Australia, currently playing in the West Australian Football League (WAFL). Representing the south-east area of the Perth metropolitan region, the club currently trains and plays its home games at Lathlain Park (currently known, for sponsorship reasons, as Mineral Resources Park), having previously played at the WACA Ground between 1899 and 1958 and later in 1987 and 1988. Richmond Football Club
The Richmond Football Club, nicknamed the Tigers, is an Australian rules football team playing in the Australian Football League (AFL). Between its inception in the Melbourne suburb of Richmond in 1885 and 1907, the club competed in the Victorian Football Association (VFA), winning two premierships. Richmond joined the Victorian Football League (now known as the AFL) in 1908 and has since won 13 premierships, most recently in 2020. The 1989 WAFL season was the 105th season of senior football in Perth. It saw Claremont continue its dominance of the competition with a third successive minor premiership under Gerard Neesham, despite having lost most of their top players of previous seasons to the VFL, and their 1988 conquerors Subiaco fall to third last with a mere six wins – their worst performance since the dark days of 1983 when the club had not played in the finals for nine years and had been wooden spooners four times in eight seasons.
