Roger De Clercq
Roger De Clercq (2 September 1930 – 24 August 2014) was a Belgian racing cyclist. Professional from 1954 to 1968, he won 68 races in his career; including the Belgian National Cyclo-cross Championships three times, in 1960, 1962 and 1964, and a silver medal at the 1964 UCI Cyclo-cross World Championships. He was the brother of René De Clercq and the uncle of Mario De Clercq, also professional cyclists. Nokere Koerse is a European semi classic single day cycle race held in the Belgian region of Flanders. Since 2005, the race has been organized as a 1.1 event on the UCI Europe Tour. The Route de France was a multi-day road bicycle racing, road cycling race held in France between 1951 and 1990. The race was considered an amateur version of the Tour de France and competed with the Tour de l'Avenir after its creation in 1961. Its route traveled through Auvergne, around Vichy, and climbed in particular the Puy de Dôme. Cyclo-cross Zonhoven
The Cyclo-cross Zonhoven is a cyclo-cross race in Zonhoven, Belgium. Established in 1958, it was held in December till 1966 after which the race ceased to exist. In 2005 the event was restarted, this time in October. In the 2009–2010 season it became part of the Superprestige The Cyclo-cross Superprestige is a season-long cyclo-cross competition, consisting of around 8 rounds throughout the season in Belgium and the Netherlands. It is one of three season-long competitions, alongside the UCI Cyclo-cross World Cup and t ... and was then held in February. The next season, still as a part of the Superprestige, it was held in October again. Since then it has been held either at the end of October or the beginning of November.
