Roger Crawford (born October 8, 1960) is a tennis player and a motivational speaker. He was the first Division I college athlete to compete with a disability Disability is the experience of any condition that makes it more difficult for a person to do certain activities or have equitable access within a given society. Disabilities may be Cognitive disability, cognitive, Developmental disability, dev ... affecting all four limbs. Crawford was born with ectrodactyly, and only has three fingers; one on his right and two on his left. He is also missing his left leg and some toes on his right foot. ''Sports Illustrated'' has recognized Roger as "One of the most accomplished, physically challenged athletes in history!" He's also the recipient of the ITA Achievement Award, presented by the International Tennis Hall of Fame. Roger W. Crawford (born June 8, 1952) is an American businessman and politician. Biography Crawford was a member of the Minnesota House of Representatives who represented District 8B, which includes portions of Isanti, Kanabec and Pine counties in the east-central part of the state. A Republican, he is a real estate appraiser and small business owner. He has served as mayor of the city of Mora, MN and as a Kanabec County Commissioner. He is also a former educator and is a veteran of the United States Navy. Personal life Born June 8, 1952 to an elementary school teacher and a tool and die machinist. He was the youngest of 5 children. His family moved to Circle Pines, Minnesota before he started school and he spent the remainder of his childhood residing there.
