Rodrigo José Rodrigues (26 July 1879 - 18 January 1963) was a military physician, colonial administrator and politician who held prominent roles during the First Portuguese Republic. Duarte Leite Pereira da Silva, GCC (11 August 1864 in Porto – 29 September 1950 in Porto; ), was a Portuguese historian, mathematician, journalist, diplomat and politician. He graduated in Mathematics at the University of Coimbra, in 1885. He taught at the Politecnic Academy of Porto, from 1886 to 1911. Meanwhile, he was also the director of the newspaper diary "''A Pátria''". Bernardino Machado
Bernardino Luís Machado Guimarães, GCTE, GCL (; 28 March 1851, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil – 29 April 1944, Porto, Portugal), was a Portuguese political figure, the third and eighth president of Portugal (1915–17, 1925–26). In 1917, Sidónio Pais, who was at the head of a military junta, dissolved Congress and removed Machado, forcing him to leave the country. Later, in 1925, he returned to the presidency of the Republic and, a year later, he was again overthrown by the military revolution of 28 May 1926, which instituted the military dictatorship and paved the way for the establishment of the Estado Novo. Henrique Monteiro Correia da Silva (8 December 1878 – 2 November 1935), often referred to as Henrique Paço d'Arcos, was a Portuguese statesman, navy officer and colonial administrator. Celorico de Basto () is a municipality in Braga District in Portugal. The population in 2011 was 20,098, in an area of 181.07 km². The town of Celorico de Basto has around 2500 inhabitants.
