Rodolfo Fontiveros Beltran
Rodolfo Fontiveros Beltran (1948- 2017) was a Filipino prelate of the Catholic Church and a professed member of the Dominican Order, who became a bishop of San Fernando de La Union on 30 October 2012 until his death on 17 June 2017.. He had previously served as apostolic vicar of Bontoc-Lagawe from 2006 to 2012. Biography Beltran was born in Gattaran in Cagayan Province. He was ordained as a deacon of the Archdiocese of Tuguegarao in 1974 and ordained to the priesthood in 1976 by the First Metropolitan Archbishop of Tuguegarao, Teodulfo S. Domingo. On 18 March 2006, on the eve of the Feast of Saint Joseph, he was appointed as Apostolic Vicar of Bontoc-Lagawe with the titular see of Buffada. He was consecrated by Diosdado A. The Apostolic Vicariate of Bontoc-Lagawe (in Latin: ''Vicariatus Apostolicus Bontocensis-Lagavensis'') is a Latin Church missionary ecclesiastical jurisdiction or apostolic vicariate of the Catholic Church in the Philippines. It is directly exempt the Holy See, not part of any ecclesiastical province, and directly under the jurisdiction of the Pope who exercises authority through the bishop-in-charge known as the Vicar Apostolic. For the purpose of apostolic cooperation, usually grouped with the Archdiocese of Nueva Segovia. Bontoc, Mountain Province
Bontoc, officially the Municipality of Bontoc ( ilo, Ili ti Bontoc; tl, Bayan ng Bontoc), is a 2nd class municipality and capital of the province of Mountain Province, Philippines. According to the 2020 census, it has a population of 24,104 people. Bontoc is from Manila. Bontoc is the historical capital of the entire Cordillera region since the inception of governance in the Cordillera. The municipality celebrates the annual Lang-ay Festival. Bontoc is home to the Bontoc tribe, a feared war-like group of indigenous people who actively indulged in tribal wars with its neighbors until the 1930s. Every Bontoc male had to undergo a rite of passage into manhood, which may include headhunting, where the male has to journey (sometimes with companions) and hunt for a human head. Diosdado Aenlle Talamayan, (born October 19, 1932) is a Filipino prelate of the Catholic Church. He served as the archbishop of the Archdiocese of Tuguegarao in the province of Cagayan, on the island of Luzon, Philippines from 1986 until his retirement in 2011. In retirement, Talamayan is archbishop emeritus of Tuguegarao. Early life and studies Diosdado Aenlle Talamayan was born October 19, 1932. He graduated from the Pontifical and Royal University of Sto Tomas, Manila in 1953. He received his Diploma in French Language and Civilization at the Institute Catholique in France in 1960. Teodulfo Sabugal Domingo (September 5, 1910 - June 3, 2002) was a Filipino prelate of the Catholic Church in the Philippines. He was the fifth Bishop of Tuguegarao and first Archbishop of Tuguegarao when then diocese of Tuguegarao was elevated as an archdiocese by Pope Paul VI in September 21, 1974. He was the first Cagayano to be consecrated as bishop and the longest serving ordinary of Tuguegarao to date. Biography Archbishop Teodulfo S. Gattaran, officially the Municipality of Gattaran ( ibg, Ili nat Gattaran; ilo, Ili ti Gattaran; tl, Bayan ng Gattaran), is a 1st class municipality in the province of Cagayan, Philippines.
