Rodney D. Fogg
Rodney D. Fogg is a retired United States Army major general who served as the Deputy Chief of Staff for Logistics and Operations of the United States Army Materiel Command from August 2021 until December 2022. Fogg also served as the Commanding General of the United States Army Combined Arms Support Command and Sustainment Center of Excellence at Fort Lee, Virginia from September 2018 to July 2021. Education Fogg is a native of Castlewood, Virginia. He received his bachelor's degree from King College in Bristol, Tennessee, and was commissioned a second lieutenant in the Quartermaster Corps from East Tennessee State University in 1987. He is a graduate of the Quartermaster Officer Basic and Advanced Courses, Command and General Staff College and the United States Army War College, holding master's degrees in Logistics Management and Strategic Studies. Quartermaster General (United States)
The Quartermaster General of the United States Army is a general officer who is responsible for the Quartermaster Corps, the Quartermaster branch of the U.S. Army. The Quartermaster General does not command Quartermaster units, but is primarily focused on training, doctrine and professional development of Quartermaster soldiers. The Quartermaster General also serves as the Commanding General, U.S. Army Quartermaster Center and School, Fort Lee, Virginia and the traditional Quartermaster Corps. Kirklin was the 53rd Quartermaster General and Commandant of the Quartermaster School at Fort Lee, Virginia from 2014 to 2016. Operation Provide Hope
Operation Provide Hope was a humanitarian operation conducted by the U.S. Air Force to provide medical equipment to former Soviet republics during their transition to capitalism. The operation was announced by Secretary of State James A. Baker, III on January 22–23, 1992 and the initial shipment of supplies was sent on February 10, 1992. Sixty-five C-5 and C-141 missions flew of food and medical supplies to 24 locations in the Commonwealth of Independent States during the initial launch. Much of these supplies was left over from the buildup to the Persian Gulf War.
