Rod Young
Rod Young (born 1951) is a retired Australian journalist and news presenter, with a career spanning 45 years. Young previously presented ''Seven News Brisbane'' with Kay McGrath on weekends between 2013 and 2016, and on weeknights between 2002 and 2012, during which, after years of steady progress, the bulletin overtook the rival ''Nine News Queensland'' as the top-rating news service in Brisbane. Between 2016 and 2021, he presented '' Seven News Gold Coast'' on Mondays to Thursdays. Career Before moving to the Seven Network, Young was the face of news in Brisbane on the ABC where he began working in the late 1970s. Young has had a distinguished career after starting in radio at station 2GO at Gosford on the New South Wales Central Coast. Young was appointed the weeknight newsreader on the ABC in 1985. Steve Titmus
Steve Titmus is an Australian journalist, and presenter of Channel 7’s Gold Coast Nightly News along with Amanda Abate. Media Titmus began his career as a cadet journalist at The Examiner in Launceston, Tasmania where he worked from 1979 until 1984 before moving into television. He was them employed as a journalist at TasTV (now WIN Television) from November 1984 until November 1988. In late 1988, Titmus moved to Adelaide to take up a role as a sports reporter and presenter at Channel 7 Adelaide where he stayed until November 1991. Following his stint in Adelaide, Titmus returned to Tasmania to be the sports editor and presenter at Southern Cross, eventually moving up to become the main anchor of the news bulletin in 1997. Bill McDonald (Australian Journalist)
Bill McDonald (born 1967) is an Australian journalist and news presenter. Career Previously McDonald had been a sports presenter but was promoted to news presenter when Geoff Mullins left ''Ten News''. He was also a sports presenter on ''Seven News''. In the summer of January 2010, McDonald presented '' Ten Early News'', ''Ten Morning News'' and ''Ten Weekend News'' from Sydney. In 2011, McDonald continued to present '' 10 News First Queensland'' and also continued to be the Queensland AFL ground commentator for Ten's national AFL coverage, mainly for matches involving the Brisbane Lions. McDonald is active in other media and events in Brisbane. Andrew Lofthouse (born 1962 or 1963) is a television and radio newsreader based in Brisbane, Australia. The former teacher is the weeknight presenter of ''Nine News Queensland'' with Melissa Downes, having previously presented on weekends. Prior to working at ''Nine News'', he presented the weekday evening news bulletin of '' ABC News Queensland'', as well as reading the news on the 612 ABC Brisbane radio station on weekday afternoons. Frank Warrick
Francis Michael Warrick (1944 – 11 May 2021) was an Australian journalist and newsreader and TV game show host. Biography Warrick began his career in radio as a disc jockey in Toowoomba in 1963 with AM radio station 4GR, and in 1965 he was the first voice heard on the new Gold Coast AM radio station 4GG. Warrick joined Seven Brisbane as a newsreader in 1976 and served in the position until his retirement in 2001, including a role as co-presenter of 13 years opposite Kay McGrath. In 1991, prison escapee Harold John McSweeney surrendered to Warrick and a television helicopter crew on the Queensland Darling Downs, purportedly to avoid being shot by the Queensland Police.
