Rockhill Barracks
Rockhill Barracks ( ga, Beairic Chnoc na Carraige) was an Irish Army barracks located in Letterkenny, County Donegal. The Barracks was forced to close due to the 2008–2012 global recession, 2008 economic meltdown. History Rockhill House is a 30-room period building originally built as a manor house in the 17th century for the gentry. Captain Thomas Chambers is the earliest recorded occupier of the house in 1660. The present structure dates from 1824 and is a listed building. Rockhill House was occupied by The Irregulars during the Irish Civil War. They were removed from the building by a pro-treaty crowd who were led by Letterkenny native James McMonagle. Rockhill House which houses the barracks was later privately owned by Sir Charles John Stewart. His two sons were killed during World War I. East Rockhill Township is a township in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, United States. The original Rockhill Township was established in 1740 and was divided into East and West Rockhill Townships in 1890. The population was 5,706 at the 2010 Census. East Rockhill is part of Pennridge School District. Pennridge Airport is located in East Rockhill Township. History The Levi Sheard Mill and Sheard's Mill Covered Bridge are listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It was also the location of the formerly listed Mood's Covered Bridge. Carson Giovanni Rockhill (born June 30, 1990) is a former Canadian football offensive guard who played one season in the Canadian Football League (CFL) for the Hamilton Tiger-Cats. He was selected by the Tiger-Cats in the 2nd round (13th overall) of the 2012 CFL Draft. Early life and education Rockhill was born on June 30, 1990, in Nanaimo, British Columbia. He attended Ballenas Secondary School in Parksville, British Columbia, playing offense and defense. Following high school he joined University of Calgary, spending his first season on the football team as a redshirt.
