Rock Baby Rock
"Rock Baby Rock" is a song by Filipino disco group VST & Company, written by Vic Sotto. It is part of a medley called "VST Concerto in A Minor" on the album '' VST 3''. It was one of the group's biggest hits produced by the band themselves. Sotto said in an interview on PTV's ''Xiao Time'' segment that it was his most favorite VST song because he put a lot of effort into it. The film of the same name was named after this song, starring Vilma Santos, Rolly Quizon, Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, Joey de Leon and VST & Company themselves. During ''Eat Bulaga!s show in Toronto, Canada on 12 April 2014, Joey de Leon performed the song until the rest of the hosts on the show joined him including Tito and Vic Sotto. It was also performed by the reunited VST & Co. (except Val and Vic Sotto) during a tribute to Snaffu Rigor on August 8, 2016. Kala (stylized in all caps) is a Filipino band that blends funk, nu-disco, acid jazz, electronic and rock music. Its members are Brian Tanchanco, JP Tanchanco, Jade Justine, and Andrew Contreras. History KALA's first full-length album came on the music scene in 2005 with their debut album under Sony BMG entitled ''Manila High''. Reynaldo Valera Guardiano, better known as Rey Valera (born 4 May 1954), is a Filipino singer, songwriter, music director, film scorer and television host. He wrote and produced songs that were recorded by various singers, most notably Sharon Cuneta. He was a judge of the singing contest ''Sing Galing!''. He was a former head judge of the singing contest segment "Tawag ng Tanghalan" in a variety noontime show '' It's Showtime''. He is the cousin of former Abra Governor Vicente P. Valera. Snaffu Rigor
Roberto Nicholas "Snaffu" Rigor (August 8, 1946 – August 3, 2016) was a Filipino songwriter and vocalist. He started composing in 1964. His first recorded Tagalog composition was "T.L. Ako Sa'yo", a hit by Cinderella in 1975. He also wrote the lyrics to Ernani Cuenco's "Bato sa Buhangin" and the English version of "Araw-araw, Gabi-gabi". Rigor was a member of the bands Ramrods, Cinderella, Backdoor and Blackbuster, and head of Domestic A&R of Blackgold and 70's Superband. Rigor died of lung cancer on August 3, 2016, at age 69.
