Rock'n Coke
Rock'n Coke was the biggest open Turkish rock festival sponsored by Coca-Cola. It was traditionally held at the Hezarfen Airfield in Istanbul, Turkey. Famous headliners like Limp Bizkit, Motörhead, Travis, Moby, Nine Inch Nails, Muse, Franz Ferdinand, Placebo, The Cure, Korn, Matin yazdani (Pl dj from Iran), Arctic Monkeys, Iggy Pop, Gogol Bordello, The Prodigy, Linkin Park, Within Temptation, The Rasmus, Juliette Lewis performed at the festival over the years. Festival Rock'n Coke is a member of the European Festivals Association. Editors (band)
Editors are an English rock band, formed in 2002 in Birmingham. Previously known as Pilot, The Pride and Snowfield, the band currently consists of Tom Smith (lead vocals, guitar, piano), Russell Leetch (bass guitar, synthesiser, backing vocals), Ed Lay (drums, percussion, backing vocals), Justin Lockey (lead guitar), Elliott Williams (keys, synthesizers, guitars, and backing vocals), and Benjamin John Power (composer and producer). Editors have so far released two platinum studio albums, and six in total, with several million combined sales. Their debut album '' The Back Room'' was released in 2005. It contained the hits "Munich" and "Blood" and the following year received a Mercury Prize nomination. Triggerfinger (band)
Triggerfinger is a Belgian rock band from Lier, Belgium, formed in 1998. The band consists of vocalist and guitarist Ruben Block, bassist Paul Van Bruystegem and Mario Goossens (formerly of Winterville) as drummer. Musical career The band gained popularity while performing prior to the band's debut album. They released their self-titled debut album '' Triggerfinger'' in 2004, after previously having released the singles ''Inner Peace'' and ''Camaro'' from the album. The album was well received by rock fans, with the band's sound being compared to bands such as Queens of the Stone Age, by the younger audience, and Led Zeppelin, by the older rock fans. The album was followed by a live album called '' Faders Up'', which featured several of their previous album's songs as well as a few covers of other bands. Jamiroquai
Jamiroquai () are an English funk and acid jazz band from London. Formed in 1992, they are fronted by vocalist Jay Kay, and were prominent in the London-based funk and acid jazz movement of the 1990s. They built on their acid jazz sound in their early releases and later drew from rock, disco, electronic and Latin music genres. Lyrically, the group has addressed social and environmental justice. Kay has remained as the only original member through several line-up changes. The band made their debut under Acid Jazz Records but subsequently found mainstream success under Sony. Teoman (singer)
Fazlı Teoman Yakupoğlu (born 20 November 1967) is a Turkish acoustic rock singer and songwriter. His biggest hits include ''Paramparça'', ''Senden Önce Senden Sonra'', ''17'' and ''Papatya''. On ''Papatya'', Turkish female rock singer Özlem Tekin features as backing vocals. Şebnem Ferah has also featured on a couple of Teoman's tracks. After studying business administration and mathematics at Boğaziçi University, he transferred to and graduated from the sociology department of the same university. He completed his graduate study on women studies at Istanbul University. His formal music career was first started in his first band ''Mirage'' in 1986. Within Temptation
Within Temptation is a Dutch symphonic metal band founded in April 1996 by vocalist Sharon den Adel and guitarist Robert Westerholt. They have been classified by critics as gothic metal and symphonic metal, although each album contains other influences outside these genres. Primal Scream
Primal Scream are a Scottish rock band originally formed in 1982 in Glasgow by Bobby Gillespie (vocals) and Jim Beattie. The band's current lineup consists of Gillespie, Andrew Innes (guitar), Simone Butler (bass), and Darrin Mooney (drums). Barrie Cadogan has toured and recorded with the band since 2006 as a replacement after the departure of guitarist Robert "Throb" Young. Primal Scream had been performing live from 1982 to 1984, but their career did not take off until Gillespie left his position as drummer of The Jesus and Mary Chain. Aylin Aslım
Aylin Aslım (born 14 February 1976) is a Turkish singer, songwriter and actress. Aylin Aslım was born in Lich, Hessen, Germany into a Turkish family but moved to Turkey when she was only one year old. She sang in several rock and electronica bands in several night clubs in Istanbul. Her first album ''Gelgit'', released in 2001, was more of an electronic album. However, she switched back to rock in her later releases, one of which is her second album, "Gülyabani", which was released in 2005. The Prodigy
The Prodigy are an English electronic dance music band formed in Braintree, Essex, in 1990 by producer, keyboard player and songwriter Liam Howlett. The original line-up also featured dancer and singer Keith Flint and dancer and occasional live keyboard player Leeroy Thornhill, dancer Sharky and MC and vocalist Maxim. They were pioneers of the breakbeat-influenced genre big beat, and achieved mainstream popularity in the 1990s.
