Rocade De Bordeaux
The Rocade de Bordeaux is a ring road crosses almost all the municipalities of Bordeaux Métropole and the Bordeaux urban area. It is made up of A630 autoroute, section of European routes E5 and E70, on the left bank of the Garonne (western ring road), and route nationale 230 on the right bank (east ring road). It is located in the extension of the A10 autoroute and at the intersection of the A89 (via route nationale 89), A62 and A63 autoroutes. It is long, making it the longest ring road in France before Nantes (43 km), Paris (35.5 km), Toulouse (35 km) and Rennes (31 km). The term ring road was preferred to that of peripheral boulevard to avoid confusion with the boulevards surrounding the city center of Bordeaux. Rocade de Bordeaux is monitored by the C.R.S. The Boulevard Périphérique (), often called the Périph', is a controlled-access dual-carriageway ring road in Paris, France. With a few exceptions (see '' Structure and Layout''), it is situated along Paris's administrative limit. The speed limit along the Périphérique is 70 km/h (45 mph). Each ring generally has four traffic lanes, with no hard shoulder. Its major interchanges are called ''portes''. At junctions, vehicles in the rightmost lane (separated from other lanes in these areas by a continuous white line to the left) must yield to entering vehicles. Francilienne
The Francilienne () is a partially completed ring road in Île-de-France (the ''région'' that includes Paris), France, lying outside the A86. The planned ring road is approximately in diameter, similar in size to London's M25 motorway. Started in 1970, existing segments cover about two-thirds of the ring, under different names (A104, N104, N184). Construction of the western sections, which would complete the Francilienne, was projected in the late 2000s to take place between 2011 and 2015. All future construction is to be to motorway standard and designated as A104 only. A86 Autoroute
A86 (sometimes called "Paris super-périphérique") is the second ring road around Paris, France. It follows an irregular path around Paris with the distance from the city centre ( Notre Dame) varying in the range. The south-western section of A86 contains one of the world's longest urban motorway tunnels ( of continuous tunnel), opened in two parts in 2009 and 2011. The tunnel is limited to a height of and commercial vehicles are prohibited as a result. Périphérique (Caen)
The Boulevard périphérique de Caen is a ring road circling the French city of Caen. It is the route nationale 814. Traveling speed on the road is limited to 90 km/h (55 mph) between the Exit 13 and 8, with a brief portion near the Exit 1 as well as the Viaduc de Calix limited to 70 km/h (45 mph) and 110 km/h (70 mph) elsewhere. The Boulevards of the Marshals (french: link=no, Boulevards des Maréchaux) are a collection of thoroughfares that encircle the city of Paris, France, just inside its city limits. Most bear the name of a marshal of the First French Empire (1804–1814) who served under Napoleon I. The Île-de-France tramway Lines 3a and 3b today run on the Boulevards of the Marshals. Pont D'Aquitaine
The Pont d'Aquitaine is a large suspension bridge over the Garonne, north-west of the city of Bordeaux, in France. It forms part of the ring-road of Bordeaux and carries the A630 autoroute. It was completed in 1967 and its main span is long. The eastern and western aspects of the bridge are dramatically different. To the east there is a ridge of land which allows the roadway to enter the bridge with little or no slope. By contrast, to the west there is an area of flat land, forming part of the Medoc, which means the roadway across the bridge slopes dramatically upwards in order to gain sufficient height to enter the bridge. A63 Autoroute
The A63 autoroute is a motorway in southwest France, connecting Bordeaux (from Junction 15 of the A630 autoroute, Rocade) to the border with Spain and Basque Country (autonomous community), Basque Country via the Autopista AP-8. The motorway, rather than being a purpose-built route, is an upgrade of the former Route nationale 10, RN10, which became a full toll road and no longer exists south of Bordeaux. The A89 autoroute is an autoroute in central France. It is known as the ''La Transeuropéenne''. It connects Bordeaux (from Libourne) and Lyon (at Limonest) via Clermont-Ferrand. Its total length is 544 km (338 mi). The project started in 1991 and was completed in 2018. It is composed of a new road construction and the re-use of a large part of the A72 built in the 1980s.
