Robot Mosh Fest
{{Unreferenced, date=June 2022 Robot Mosh Fest was a Metal/Hardcore music Festival that originated in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 2001 and took place annually in the Milwaukee area. The festival was originally titled Hugs and Chugs Fest and was booked by Art Henke. Art created bootleg videos of the show and the bands sold them at their shows, which helped build hype for the following year. The name change was inspired by Forever is Forgotten's song, Destroying a Lifetime of Innocence, which sounded like two robots fighting. This song led Art Henke and Robot Mosh Fest flyer artist, Michael Adler, to create Robot outfits and fight during a show, which in turn led to Robot Mosh Fest. Art went on to book Robot Mosh Fest 2002. CDRs packaged in DVD cases with full art were used as successful promotional flyers and would become a staple for each year's festival. Heavy metal (or simply metal) is a genre of rock music that developed in the late 1960s and early 1970s, largely in the United Kingdom and United States. Beneath the Massacre is a Canadian technical death metal band from Montreal, Quebec. Their debut EP ''Evidence of Inequity'', was released in 2005, under Galy Records. In early 2006, the band signed with Prosthetic Records and released their first full-length album, '' Mechanics of Dysfunction'', on the label on February 20, 2007. Abigail Williams is an American black metal band, originally from Phoenix, Arizona, but now based in Olympia, Washington. Since their formation in 2004, the group has suffered near-constant changes to their line-up. The band even disbanded in 2007 for a short time before reforming and writing their debut full-length album. Arsis is an American heavy metal band from Virginia Beach, Virginia, formed in 2000. The band is currently signed to Nuclear Blast. History Demos and Willowtip era (2000–2006) Arsis was started by James Malone and Michael "Mike" Van Dyne in 2000, who met while attending the Berklee College of Music in Boston. Stick to Your Guns is an American hardcore punk band from Orange County, California. Misery Signals is an American-Canadian metalcore band formed in Wisconsin in 2002. History Formation (2002–2003) Misery Signals was formed after the disbanding of several bands, including 7 Angels 7 Plagues, Hamartia, and Compromise. Having played briefly with 7 Angels 7 Plagues, former Compromise vocalist, Jesse Zaraska, was approached by Ryan Morgan and Kyle Johnson for a new project which would become Misery Signals. Jeff Aust from Hamartia joined on as second guitar and Ryan Morgan's brother Branden joined as the band's drummer. Aust soon left the band and has since gone on to join With Honor. Poison the Well is an American metalcore band from Miami, Florida who were last signed to Ferret Music. In 2010, they announced a hiatus to explore other interests.
