Robinson Faria
Robinson Mesquita de Faria is a Brazilian politician. He had served as governor of Rio Grande do Norte state in Brazil (2015–2018). Biography and early career Born in Natal, Rio Grande do Norte, on April 12, 1959, Robinson Mesquita de Faria is married to Julianne Faria and is father of six children. One of his sons, Fábio Faria, is married to Patrícia Abravanel, daughter of TV presenter and entrepreneur Silvio Santos; they have a son. Faria graduated in Law from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte. For 24 years, he was a state representative and the last two mandates held the Presidency of the state legislature. On his own initiative, he embraced a political career in the Agreste region, from where his family originates. Faria was elected the youngest state deputy in 1986. Chamber Of Deputies (Brazil)
The Chamber of Deputies ( pt, Câmara dos Deputados) is a federal legislative body and the lower house of the National Congress of Brazil. The chamber comprises 513 deputies, who are elected by proportional representation to serve four-year terms. The current President of the Chamber is the Deputy Arthur Lira ( PP- AL), who was elected on 1 February 2021. Structure The number of deputies elected is proportional to the size of the population of the respective state (or of the Federal District) as of 1994. However, no delegation can be made up of less than eight or more than seventy seats. Thus the least populous state elects eight federal deputies and the most populous elects seventy. These restrictions favour the smaller states at the expense of the more populous states and so the size of the delegations is not exactly proportional to population. Patricia Abravanel Faria (born 4 October 1977) is a Brazilian television presenter and businesswoman. She is the daughter of television presenter, businessman and owner of SBT, Silvio Santos. Biography Patricia is the second daughter of the marriage between Silvio Santos and Íris Abravanel, Daniela Beyruti being her older sister. 2014 Rio Grande Do Norte Gubernatorial Election
The Rio Grande do Norte gubernatorial election was held on 5 October 2014 to elect the governor of Rio Grande do Norte. Incumbent Governor Rosalba Ciarlini sought nomination for a second term, but her candidacy was vetoed by her party due to her low approval ratings. Robinson Faria was announced as the victor with 54,38% of the vote, who had been elected as Vice-Governor in 2010 alongside Governor Ciarlini.
