Robinson-Hale Stadium
The Mississippi College Choctaws football team represents Mississippi College. The school's teams are known as the Choctaws. Its major rivals are Millsaps College in nearby Jackson and Delta State in Cleveland, Mississippi in the Delta. After a more than 40-year hiatus, MC and Millsaps teams began meeting on the football field again in 2000. The rivalry is dubbed the Backyard Brawl. History The first year of the team was in 1907. The 1921 team was led by Hall of Famer Edwin "Goat" Hale. The team won the Division II National Championship in 1989, however, Mississippi College's football tournament participation, along with its NCAA Division II national football championship, were vacated by the NCAA Committee on Infractions for recruiting violations. John Bland (American Football)
John Bland (born c. 1967) is an American football coach. He is the head football coach at Mississippi College, a position he had held since 2014. Bland served as the head football coach at Southern Arkansas University in 2000 and at the University of the Cumberlands in Williamsburg, Kentucky from 2005 to 2013. Bland played college football as a quarterback at the University of Arkansas from 1988 to 1991. He worked as the quarterbacks coach at Rice University from 2001 to 2005. The Texas A&M–Kingsville Javelinas football program is the intercollegiate American football team for the Texas A&M University–Kingsville located in the U.S. state of Texas. The team competes in the Division II and is a member of the Lone Star Conference. The school's first football team was fielded in 1929. The team plays its home games at the 15,000-seat Javelina Stadium. History In 1929, the school joined the original Texas Intercollegiate Athletic Association. North Dakota Fighting Hawks Football
The North Dakota Fighting Hawks represent the University of North Dakota, competing as a member of the Missouri Valley Football Conference (MVFC) in the NCAA Division I's Football Championship Subdivision. From 1973 to 2008, they played in the NCAA's NCAA Division II, winning the National Championship in 2001. Running Track
An all-weather running track is a rubberized, artificial running surface for track and field athletics. It provides a consistent surface for competitors to test their athletic ability unencumbered by adverse weather conditions.
