Robin Witt
Robin Witt is an American theater director. She is an ensemble member at both the Griffin Theatre and Steep Theatre Company in Chicago. Witt's notable productions include Enda Walsh's ''The New Electric Ballroom'' at A Red Orchid Theatre, Dennis Kelly's ''Love and Money'', Simon Stephens' ''Wastwater'', ''Motortown'', ''Pornography'', and ''Harper Regan'' at Steep Theatre, as well as Ena Lamont Stewart's ''Men Should Weep'' (2014-15 Jeff Award: Director, Production), Terence Rattigan's ''Flare Path'' (2013 Jeff Nominations, Director and Production) and Edna Ferber and George Kaufman's ''Stage Door'' (2011 Jeff Nominations, Director and Production) with the Griffin Theatre. Steep Theatre Company
Steep Theatre Company is a not-for-profit theatre company located in the Edgewater neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois. Founded in 2000 by Peter Moore, Alex Gillmor, and Alex Gualino, Steep has become known as one of Chicago's iconic ensemble-based storefront theatres. Chicago is known for its brand of bold, collaborative, actor-driven theatre in intimate venues scattered throughout the city's many neighborhoods, and Steep is an embodiment of this theatrical movement. The ensemble has produced over 60 plays and cultivated a growing community of artists and audience members. Howard Witt
Howard Witt (March 13, 1932 – June 21, 2017) was an American character actor and Chicago native who began his acting career in the Goodman Theatre. Early years Witt attended Von Steuben High School and was a drama student at Goodman School of Drama at the Art Institute of Chicago (now at DePaul University). Career After Witt's career began at the Goodman Theatre, he gained additional acting experience at the Woodstock Playhouse in New York State and at the Arena Stage in Washington, D.C. Enda Walsh
Enda Walsh (born 1967) is an Irish playwright. Biography Enda Walsh was born in Kilbarrack, North Dublin on February 7, 1967. His father ran a furniture shop and his mother had been an actress. He is the second youngest of six children. Walsh states that he saw his father, a salesman, as the 'lead actor' in the business, but as Ireland's economy fluctuated, so did furniture sales. Notably during the recession in the 1980s, when profits were low, Walsh says that he was earning more money managing his own newspaper round enterprise than his father was bringing home from the shop. Life in the large family was full of incident and Enda has claimed that many of his plays find their origin in his relationships with his father, his mother and her friends, his three brothers and two sisters.
