Robin Strasser
Robin Victory in Europe Strasser (born May 7, 1945) is an American actress, best known for her role as Dorian Lord on the ABC daytime soap opera ''One Life to Live''. Life and career Strasser's middle name is a tribute to her being born the day Germany surrendered in World War II. She was born in the New York City borough of the Bronx and raised in Manhattan by Martin and Anne Strasser who were both Jewish. After graduating from the High School of Performing Arts, on full scholarship, she attended the Yale University School of Drama. She began acting in the early 1960s. Strasser sharpened her acting abilities in theatre, acting on Broadway, where she appeared in ''The Shadow Box'' and '' Chapter Two''. Early in her stage career she met her first husband, Laurence Luckinbill; they were married in 1965 and divorced in 1976. They have two sons, Nicholas and Ben. Laurence George Luckinbill (born November 21, 1934) is an American actor, playwright and director. He has worked in television, film, and theatre, doing triple duty in the theatre by writing, directing, and starring in stage productions. He is known for penning and starring in one-man shows based upon the lives of United States President Theodore Roosevelt, author Ernest Hemingway, and famous American defense attorney Clarence Darrow; starring in a one-man show based upon the life of US President Lyndon Baines Johnson; and for his portrayal of Spock's half-brother Sybok in the film '' Star Trek V: The Final Frontier''. Claire Malis (February 17, 1943 – August 24, 2012) was an American actress. In later years she was often credited as Claire Malis Callaway. Malis was perhaps best known as the second actress to play Dorian Lord, Dr. Dorian Lord on the American Broadcasting Company, ABC daytime soap opera ''One Life to Live'' from 1977 to 1979. She appeared in the 1980 television series ''From Here to Eternity (TV series), From Here to Eternity'' as Dr. Anne Brewster. The 13-episode series continued the story of the 1979 miniseries of the same name. Malis went on to guest star on numerous drama and comedy TV series and multiple films. ''The Delphi Bureau'' is an American dramatic television series aired in the United States by ABC as one of three elements of '' The Men'', a wheel series shown as part of its 1972-73 schedule. ''The Delphi Bureau'' starred Laurence Luckinbill as Glenn Garth Gregory, a man with a photographic memory, whose obscure United States Government "agency" ostensibly did obscure research for the President of the United States. Its actual role was counter-espionage and its main operative was Gregory, whose liaison with the group's unnamed superiors was Sybil Van Lowreen (Anne Jeffreys), a Washington D.C. society hostess. (Celeste Holm had played Sybil Van Lowreen in the series' pilot film.)
