Robin Bland
Terrance William Dicks (14 April 1935 – 29 August 2019) was an English author and television screenwriter, script editor and producer. In television, he had a long association with the BBC science-fiction series ''Doctor Who'', working as a writer and also serving as the programme's script editor from 1968 to 1974. The Doctor Who News Page described him as "arguably the most prolific contributor to ''Doctor Who''". He later became a script editor and producer of classic serials for the BBC. Dicks wrote many children's books during the 1970s and 1980s. He also maintained his association with ''Doctor Who'' by adapting televised stories into novelisations for Target Books and in later years contributing to many documentaries and DVD commentaries for the series. Terence Patrick "Phil" Dicks (17 March 1937 – 17 June 2020) was a British Conservative Party (UK), Conservative Party politician. He was MP for the constituency of Hayes and Harlington (UK Parliament constituency), Hayes and Harlington from 1983 United Kingdom general election, 1983 to his retirement in 1997, having unsuccessfully contested Bristol South (UK Parliament constituency), Bristol South in 1979 United Kingdom general election, 1979. Patrick Troughton
Patrick George Troughton (; 25 March 1920 – 28 March 1987) was an English actor who was classically trained for the stage but became known for his roles in television and film. His work included appearances in several fantasy, science fiction and horror films, and playing the Second Doctor, second incarnation of The Doctor (Doctor Who), the Doctor in the long-running British science fiction on television, science-fiction television series ''Doctor Who'' from 1966 to 1969; he reprised the role in 1972–1973, 1983 and 1985. Second Doctor
The Second Doctor is an incarnation of the Doctor, the protagonist of the BBC science fiction television series ''Doctor Who''. He was portrayed by actor Patrick Troughton. While the Troughton era of ''Doctor Who'' is well-remembered by fans and in that era's ''Doctor Who'' literature, it is difficult to appraise in full; of his 119 episodes, 53 remain missing. The War Games
''The War Games'' is the seventh and final serial of the sixth season of the British science fiction television series ''Doctor Who'', which originally aired in ten weekly parts from 19 April to 21 June 1969. In the serial, an unnamed alien race led by the War Lord ( Philip Madoc) kidnap and brainwash soldiers from wars throughout Earth's history to fight in war games on another planet as part of the aliens' plot to conquer the galaxy. "Intercrime" is the fifteenth episode of the second series of the 1960s cult British spy-fi television series '' The Avengers'', starring Patrick Macnee and Honor Blackman. It was first broadcast by ABC on 6 January 1963. The episode was directed by Jonathan Alwyn and written by Terrance Dicks and Malcolm Hulke. Plot Cathy Gale takes on the identity of an assassin to infiltrate a criminal gang. However things get complicated when the real assassin escapes from prison. Malcolm Hulke
Malcolm Ainsworth Hulke (21 November 1924 – 6 July 1979) was a British television writer and author of the industry "bible" ''Writing for Television in the 70s''. He is remembered chiefly for his work on the science fiction series ''Doctor Who'' although he contributed to many popular television series of the era. Early life Known as "Mac" throughout his life, Hulke was born out of wedlock in 1924 and never knew his father. He later discussed the social stigma of illegitimacy and his personal experiences of it in a 1964 radio documentary and a 1973 op-ed piece in ''The Observer''. He lived with his mother, Marian, until her death in 1943. Hulke attempted to register as a conscientious objector during the World War II, but his application was rejected and he was conscripted into the Royal Navy.
