Roberto Carruthers
Roberto Carruthers is an Argentine tennis coach and former professional player. Known as "Kiko", Carruthers competed during the 1970s and 1980s, most successfully as a doubles player. He won two doubles titles on the ATP Challenger Tour and featured in the main draws at both the French Open and Wimbledon. Carruthers was the first coach of Gastón Gaudio, who he took under his guidance at the Temperley Lawn Tennis club when the future French Open champion was 12 years of age. Charles Darlington "Buzz" Strode Jr. (born September 5, 1957) is a former professional tennis player from the United States. Career Strode was most successful at doubles, often playing beside his brother Morris "Skip" Strode. It was with his brother that he made the men's doubles quarter-finals at the US Open and Australian Open in 1982. His other Grand Slam quarter-final appearance in the men's doubles, at the 1985 Wimbledon Championships, was with South African Eddie Edwards. Carlos Gattiker
Carlos Gattiker (6 June 1956 – 19 May 2010) was a professional tennis player from Argentina. Career Gattiker made four Grand Prix doubles semi-finals during his career, at Buenos Aires in 1977, Indianapolis in 1980, Kitzbuhel in 1981 and Bahia in 1983. His partner in Kitzbuhel was his brother Alejandro Gattiker. He also partnered his brother at Grand Slam level. One of their three Grand Slam appearances together was at the 1980 Wimbledon Championships, where they lost a five-set match to another pair of brothers, John and Tony Lloyd. Gattiker played in five further Grand Slam tournaments, as either a singles of doubles player, but was never able to progress past the first round. The Argentinian represented his country in a 1980 Davis Cup tie against the United States. He and Ricardo Cano took part in the doubles rubber, which they lost to Peter Fleming and John McEnroe. Alejandro Gattiker
Alejandro Gattiker (born 5 May 1958) is a former professional tennis player from Argentina. Career Gattiker, having made it through qualifying, played Mike Myburg in the first round of the 1982 French Open. He was beaten in straight sets. The Argentinian played men's doubles at five Grand Slam tournaments, three with his brother Carlos, but was never able to get past the opening round. He made the doubles semi-finals at Kitzbühel with his brother in 1981 and was also a doubles semi-finalist twice the following year, partnering Brent Pirow at Geneva and Ricardo Ycaza at Itaparica. As a singles player he had his best win when he defeated veteran Romanian Ilie Năstase in 1981, at Viña del Mar. Peter Fleming and John McEnroe defeated Bob Lutz and Stan Smith in the final, 6–4, 6–4, 6–4 to win the gentlemen's doubles title at the 1981 Wimbledon Championships.
