Roberto Bisconti
Roberto Bisconti (born 21 July 1973 in Montegnée, Liège) is a Belgian retired footballer who played as a midfielder. Club career During his career, Bisconti played for Standard Liège on four occasions (where he earlier played a minor role in a generation of players dubbed The Three Musketeers, composed of Régis Genaux, Michaël Goossens and Philippe Léonard), A.C. Monza Brianza 1912, R. Charleroi SC, Aberdeen, FC Rapid București (six-month contract), OGC Nice, En Avant de Guingamp and Panthrakikos FC (no official games in Greece). On 16 February 2009 Bisconti returned to Belgium after five years, signing with third division club C.S. Visé on a free transfer, until the end of the season. He retired from football in June 2011, aged 38. International career Bisconti earned 13 caps for Belgium, making his full debut at almost 31 in a 0–2 friendly loss with France, on 18 February 2004. Philippe Léonard
Philippe Léonard (born 14 February 1974) is a Belgian former professional footballer who played as a left back. After playing most notably for Standard Liège and Monaco, he rarely appeared for his following four teams (including Standard again) in a 16-year professional career. Léonard represented Belgium at Euro 2000, being an international over a 12-year period. Club career Born in Liège, Léonard started his professional career at Standard Liège. There, alongside Régis Genaux and Michaël Goossens, he was part of The Three Musketeers generation – with Roberto Bisconti playing a smaller role – hailed for their sporting talent but with a troublesome character. The Liga I (; ''First League''), also spelled as Liga 1, is a Romanian professional league for men's association football clubs. Currently sponsored by betting company Superbet, it is officially known as the SuperLiga. It is the country's top football competition, being contested by 16 clubs which take part in a promotion and relegation system with the Liga II. The teams play 30 matches each in the regular season, before entering the championship play-offs or the relegation play-outs according to their position in the regular table. In sport, a cap is a player's appearance in a game at international level. The term dates from the practice in the United Kingdom of awarding a cap to every player in an international match of rugby football and association football. In the early days of football, the concept of each team wearing a set of matching shirts had not been universally adopted, so each side would distinguish itself from the other by wearing a specific sort of cap. Free Transfer (football)
In professional association football, a free transfer, also known as a Bosman transfer, involves a professional association football club releasing a player when the player's contract has expired or made available just before the end of the contract. The player can then go on to sign for any club offering a contract to them. How it works The club acquiring the player does not have to pay any compensation for their release due to having nothing left to pay on their contract, hence, the term free transfer. Some individual leagues have restrictions to protect academies.
