Robert Täht
Robert Täht (born 15 August 1993) is an Estonian professional volleyball player who plays as an outside hitter for Cuprum Stilon Gorzów and the Estonia national team. Club career Robert Täht began his professional career in 2010 at the age of 17, signing a contract with his hometown club, Valio Võru. In 2012, he moved to the top Estonian team, Bigbank Tartu. After three seasons in Tartu, Täht signed his first foreign contract and joined the Polish PlusLiga team, Cuprum Lubin. Täht spent the 2018–19 season playing for Arkas İzmir in the Turkish Volleyball League and the 2019–20 season for the Italian Volleyball League powerhouse, Sir Safety Perugia. For the next two seasons he returned to PlusLiga to play for Asseco Resovia and Skra Bełchatów. In June 2022, Täht signed with Vôlei São José dos Campos, one of the Brazilian Super League teams, becoming the first ever Estonian to have played in the Brazilian top flight. Võru
Võru (; ; ) is a town and a municipality in south-eastern Estonia. It is the capital of Võru County and the centre of Võru Parish. History Võru was founded on 21 August 1784, at the request of the Empress Catherine II of Russia, by the order of Riga Governor general count George Browne, on the site of the former Võru estate as the center of the new county. From 1797 until today, Võru has been the administrative center of the surrounding region. Men's European Volleyball Championship
The Men's European Volleyball Championship (''EuroVolley'') is the official competition for senior men's national volleyball teams of Europe, organized by the European Volleyball Confederation ( CEV). The initial gap between championships was variable, but since 1975 they have been awarded every two years. The current champion is Poland, which won its second title at the 2023 tournament. History The first tournament was held in 1948 with participation of six national teams. Being only participant from Eastern Europe, Czechoslovakia captured gold. The teams from Eastern Europe dominated at the tournament for next four decades. The 2023 Men's European Volleyball Championship was the 33rd edition of the Men's European Volleyball Championship, organised by Europe's governing volleyball body, European Volleyball Confederation, CEV.
