Robert Renner (born 8 March 1994 in Celje) is a Slovenian athlete specialising in the pole vault. Career He won the gold medal at the 2015 European U23 Championships. His personal bests in the event are 5.65 metres outdoors (Pitesti 2015) and 5.62 metres indoors (Villeurbanne 2013). 2013 European Athletics Indoor Championships
The 2013 European Athletics Indoor Championships were held at Scandinavium and Svenska Mässan in Gothenburg, Sweden, on 1–3 March 2013. Bidding process The decision to grant the event for Gothenburg was made by the European Athletics Council at their long meeting in Malta on October 15, 2007. Initially, Gothenburg applied for the 2011 Championships against Paris. The European Athletic Association thought the two cities presented very good concepts, and it ended up with the two candidates get one championship each; Paris in 2011 and Gothenburg in 2013. Gothenburg will use the concept ''All under one roof''. The sport of athletics at the 2016 Summer Olympics was made into three distinct sets of events: track and field events, road running events, and racewalking events. The men's pole vault at the 2015 World Championships in Athletics was held at the Beijing National Stadium on 22 and 24 August. Competition World record holder and world leader Renaud Lavillenie set his opening height at 5.80, after most of the field had already attempted two heights. He cleared it with one foot to spare on his first attempt. It is believed to be the highest opening height ever attempted. 2015 World Championships In Athletics
The 2015 IAAF World Championships ( zh, 第十五届世界田径锦标赛), the fifteenth edition of the IAAF World Championships, were held from 22 to 30 August at the National Stadium in Beijing, China. Forty-three nations won medals, 144 of which were awarded. Kenya topped the medal table for the first time, with 7 gold, 6 silver and 3 bronze medals.
