Robert W. Peterson (19 October 1937 – 4 November 2020) was a Canadian Liberal senator from Saskatchewan. He was appointed to the Senate by Prime Minister Paul Martin on March 24, 2005. Peterson was an entrepreneur, professional engineer and community activist. He was the chief operating officer of Denro Holdings Ltd, and sat on the board of directors for General Properties Ltd and Cameco Corporation Cameco Corporation (formerly Canadian Mining and Energy Corporation) is the world's largest publicly traded uranium company, based in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada. In 2015, it was the world's second largest uranium producer, accounting for 18 ..., a position he has held since 1994. Peterson received a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Saskatchewan. Peterson died on 4 November 2020 in Regina. Robert D. Peterson (March 14, 1888 – September 2, 1968) was the 20th Lieutenant Governor of South Dakota serving from 1935 to 1937 under Governor Tom Berry. Robert Peterson was from Glenwood Township in Clay County. He was married to Esther Ellenore (Bring) Peterson (1888-1916). Both he and his wife were buried in Komstad Cemetery in Clay County, South Dakota Clay County is a county in the U.S. state of South Dakota. Robert Peterson (born 15 May 1952) is a former Australian rules footballer who played with North Melbourne in the Victorian Football League (VFL). Recruited from University High School, Peterson was both a rover and a forward. By making his debut at the age of just 16 and 45 days he became the youngest ever North Melbourne debutant. He kicked 26 goals in 1971, including a bag of seven against Geelong at Arden Street. Robert Bower "Buzz" Peterson Jr. (born May 17, 1963) is an American basketball executive who is the assistant general manager for the Charlotte Hornets of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He has also coached college basketball, most recently as the head coach of the UNC Wilmington Seahawks men's basketball team. He was fired by UNC Wilmington at the conclusion of the 2014 season. Peterson was the head coach of the Tennessee Volunteers basketball team for four years before being fired in 2005. He previously coached a second stint at Appalachian State—he coached the 2009–10 Mountaineers, as well as the 1996 to 2000 squads. Previously, he was the men's basketball head coach at the University of Tulsa and at Coastal Carolina University, a position he held until mid-2007, when he left the program to be executive (Director of Player Personnel) with the Charlotte Bobcats of the NBA. Robert Peterson (born 1924 Denver - September 21, 2000 Fairfax, California) was a widely anthologized American poet. Life His childhood was spent in San Francisco at the Fielding Hotel, a Union Square hotel owned by his adoptive parents. He graduated from the University of California at Berkeley. He was an Army combat medic in the 86th Division, during World War II. He studied at San Francisco State College. He was writer-in-residence at Reed College, Portland, Oregon from 1969-1971. After leaving Reed College, Peterson lived in Taos, New Mexico. He started his own publishing company, Black Dog Press, in the Bay Area, and created artworks that showed in local galleries. He also served a writer-in-residence at Oregon's Willamette University from 1991-1992. His papers are held at University of California Santa Cruz. He died at his home in Fairfax, California. Robert Evans Peterson (November 12, 1812 – October 30, 1894) was an American book publisher and author. He also studied law and medicine, but never took up either profession. R. E. Peterson was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to George and Jane (Evans) Peterson. His family included several publishers and editors: his brother Henry Peterson edited the '' Saturday Evening Post'' for twenty years, and his cousin Charles J. Peterson was an owner of the ''Post'' and founder of ''Peterson's Magazine''. Peterson received a commercial education and engaged in the hardware business until 1834, when he married Hannah Mary Bouvier, the daughter of Judge John Bouvier. He then studied law with his father-in-law and assisted him in editing his law works.
