Robert Mühren
Robert Mühren (born 18 May 1989) is a Dutch professional footballer who plays as a forward for club Volendam. Mühren made his first breakthrough as part of FC Volendam, where he was as a proven goalscorer. He moved to AZ in 2014, but mostly appeared as a substitute, and then signed with Belgian club Zulte Waregem in January 2017. There, he failed to make the team, and was sent on loans to Sparta, NAC Breda and Cambuur, emerging as top goalscorer of the Eerste Divisie with the latter. In 2021, he returned to Volendam, helping them promote to the Eredivisie in his first season back. Mühren is the nephew of former Dutch internationals Gerrie Mühren and Arnold Mühren. Purmerend
Purmerend () is a city and municipality in the west of the Netherlands, in the province of North Holland and in the region of West Friesland. The city is surrounded by polders, such as the Purmer, Beemster and the Wormer. The city became the trade center of the region but the population grew relatively slowly. Only after 1960 did the population start to grow from around 10,000 to around 80,000 by the 2010s. From the 1960s onwards, Purmerend has seen major expansion and continues to do so. Arnold Mühren
Arnold Johannes Hyacinthus Mühren (born 2 June 1951) is a Dutch football manager and former midfielder. His older brother Gerrie, also a midfield player, won three European Cup titles with Ajax in the early 1970s. Mühren is among the few players to have won all three major UEFA-organised club competitions, the European Cup ( 1972–73), the Cup Winners' Cup ( 1986–87) and the UEFA Cup ( 1980–81). The last of these was won with Ipswich Town, while the other titles were won while playing for Ajax. Jong PSV
Jong PSV is a Dutch football team based in Eindhoven. It is the reserve team of PSV Eindhoven and plays in the Eerste Divisie since the 2013–14 season. History Until 2013, Jong PSV played in the Beloften Eredivisie, a league exclusively for reserve teams. That year, the Royal Dutch Football Association, KNVB decided to expand the Eerste Divisie to 20 teams by adding two amateur teams and two reserve teams. Initially, Jong Ajax and Jong FC Twente were chosen, based on the team's interest and the Beloften Eredivisie league results. But after amateur team VV Katwijk rejected the offer, Jong PSV were offered the fourth and final league slot. 2013–14 KNVB Cup
The 2013–14 KNVB Cup was the 96th season of the Dutch national football knockout tournament. The competition began on 28 August 2013 in the first round and concluded with the final on 20 April 2014. AZ were the defending champions, having won the cup the previous season. The winners qualified for the play-off round of the 2014–15 UEFA Europa League. Participants 82 teams participate in the 2013-14 cup. The 18 clubs of the Eredivisie and the 17 clubs of the Eerste divisie (excluding reserve teams) qualified automatically, entering in the second round. Almere City Football Club is a Dutch professional football club based in Almere, Flevoland. Founded in 2001, plays in the Eerste Divisie, the second tier of Dutch football, and hosts home matches at the Yanmar Stadion. The 2013–14 Eerste Divisie, known as Jupiler League for sponsorship reasons, was the fifty-eight season of Eerste Divisie since its establishment in 1955. It began on 2 August 2013 with the first matches of the season and ended on 26 May 2014 with the return of the finals of the promotion/relegation play-offs, also involving the 16th- and 17th-placed teams from the 2013–14 Eredivisie. Jack Tuyp
Jacobus Johannes "Jack" Tuijp (born 23 August 1983) is a Dutch former professional footballer who played as a striker. He spent most of his career with FC Volendam. The media often misconstrued his surname as ''Tuyp''. Tuijp, born in Volendam, started his football career at RKAV Volendam like many other footballers from the fishing village. In the 2002–03 season, he made his debut in professional football for FC Volendam. After two seasons he left for Groningen. There he made eleven league appearances in his first season, after which the club sent him on loan to his old club for the next two seasons. After this, FC Volendam signed the striker on a permanent basis. He became a key player in the team and became the top goalscorer of the second-tier Eerste Divisie three times.
