Robert Mistrík
Robert Mistrík (, born 13 August 1966) is a Slovak chemist, scientist, businessman, and politician. Early life Mistrík was born on 13 August 1966 in Banská Bystrica. He attended Gymnázium Jozefa Gregora Tajovského in Banská Bystrica. In 1991, he graduated with a degree in Analytical Chemistry from the Faculty of Chemical Technology of the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava. After completing a PhD at the University of Vienna in 1994, Mistrík continued his scientific career as a visiting scholar at the National Institute of Standards and Technology in Gaithersburg, Maryland. Early career In 1998, Mistrík founded the mass spectrometry, metabolomics and chemical analysis firm HighChem, which he still manages. Mistrík served as a member of the scientific steering committee in the METAcancer consortium, focused on the search for breast cancer biomarkers. Banská Bystrica
Banská Bystrica (, also known by other alternative names) is a middle-sized town in central Slovakia, located on the Hron River in a long and wide valley encircled by the mountain chains of the Low Tatras, the Veľká Fatra, and the Kremnica Mountains. With approximately 76,000 inhabitants, Banská Bystrica is the sixth most populous municipality in Slovakia. Matej Tóth
Matej Tóth (; born 10 February 1983) is a Slovak race walker. He is a former Olympic champion in the 50 km walk. Career Toth won the gold medal in the 50 km walk at the 2010 IAAF World Race Walking Cup, and at the 2015 World Championships, taking Slovakia's first ever gold at the championships. He finished first at the 2016 Olympic Games in 50 km walk, winning the first Slovak Olympic medal in athletics and also being the first Slovak gold medalist in a Summer sport other than canoe slalom. He was the 2016 Slovak Athlete of the Year. In 2018, he won silver medal in the men's 50 kilometres walk at the 2018 European Athletics Championships held in Berlin, Germany. Zuzana Čaputová
Zuzana Čaputová, (; Strapáková; born 21 June 1973) is a Slovak politician, lawyer and environmental activist. She is the fifth president of Slovakia, a position she has held since 15 June 2019. Čaputová is the first woman to hold the presidency, as well as the youngest president in the history of Slovakia, elected at the age of 45. Čaputová first became known by prevailing in a decade-long struggle against the situating of a toxic landfill in her hometown of Pezinok.
