Robert Llewellyn (photographer)
Robert Llewellyn (born December 29, 1945) is an American photographer whose images have served as the basis for numerous books and exhibits. He studied engineering science at the University of Virginia, and photography with Imogen Cunningham in the 1960s. He married Barbara Reading Grant in 1981 and they live together in Earlysville, Virginia. Thirty five books have been based on Llewellyn's photographs, which have also been featured in numerous art exhibits. His ''Washington, The Capital'' (1981) was an official diplomatic gift of the White House and U.S. State Department. With ''Remarkable Trees of Virginia'' (2008), the capstone of a statewide effort to document Virginia's most remarkable trees, Llewellyn developed a special focus on photography of landscapes and trees. Prince Edward County, Virginia
Prince Edward County is located in the Commonwealth of Virginia. As of the 2020 census, the population was 21,849. Its county seat is Farmville. History Formation and county seats Prince Edward County was formed in the Virginia Colony in 1754 from Amelia County. It was named for Prince Edward, second son of Frederick, Prince of Wales, and younger brother of George III of the United Kingdom. Nikon (camera)
The Nikon was the first camera introduced by the optical manufacturer Nippon Kogaku KK. It is a ''35mm'' rangefinder camera, in retrospect known as the ''Nikon I''. The original design was approved by September 1946, and the camera was released in March 1948. At first, it was sold locally, and it did not come to the attention of the western media until 1950, when photographers from the magazine ''Life'' were shown photographs taken with these cameras. The lenses draw special attention, like the ''Nikkor-P.C 1:2 f=8.5cm''. A demand to fit ''Nikkors'' to the reporters' ''Leicas'' were immediately met at the factory in Tokyo, and soon the word spread about these Japanese lenses which were just as good as, or possibly better than their German counterparts.
