Robert J. Bentley
Robert Julian Bentley (born February 3, 1943) is an American former politician and physician who served as the 53rd governor of Alabama from 2011 until 2017 upon his resignation after a sex scandal involving a political aide and subsequent arrest. A member of the Republican Party, Bentley was elected governor in 2010 and re-elected in 2014. Born in Columbiana, Alabama, Bentley earned his M.D. from the University of Alabama School of Medicine in 1968 and then served in the United States Air Force as a medical officer at Pope Air Force Base in Fayetteville, North Carolina from 1969 to 1975 until leaving the service as a captain. He entered private medical practice and opened a series of dermatology clinics throughout the southern United States. Impeachment in the United States is the process by which a legislature may bring charges against an officeholder for misconduct alleged to have been committed with a penalty of removal. William "Ed" Henry (born July 30, 1970) is an American politician who is a Republican member of the Alabama House of Representatives. He represents the 9th district, which includes portions of Morgan, Cullman and Marshall counties. Early life Henry attended Hartselle High School. He spent two years at Auburn University before completing his bachelor's degree in radiological sciences at Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, Texas. The 2014 Alabama gubernatorial election took place on November 4, 2014, to elect the governor of Alabama. Incumbent Republican Governor Robert J. The history of what is now Alabama stems back thousands of years ago when it was inhabited by indigenous peoples. The Woodland period spanned from around 1000 BCE to 1000 CE and was marked by the development of the Eastern Agricultural Complex.
