Robert Hunecke-Rizzo
Robert Hunecke-Rizzo (17 June 1971 in Wolfsburg) is a German bassist, guitarist and drummer, known for his work with Heavens Gate, Luca Turilli, and Kamelot. He was one of the founding members of the supergroup Aina, which released the metal opera ''Days of Rising Doom'' in 2003. He was the music composer and played most of the instruments on the album. He was also a touring member as bass player of the metal opera project Avantasia, and his performance was thereby recorded on the band's live DVD ''The Flying Opera ''The Flying Opera'' is a boxed set containing two DVDs and two CDs by the German power metal band Avantasia, released in March 2011. Heavens Gate (band)
Heavens Gate was a German heavy metal band from Wolfsburg, Germany. They started out as a band called Steeltower in 1982, releasing their first record ''Night of the Dog'' in 1984. Before signing with No Remorse records, they were known under the name of Carrion and several of their songs ended up re-worked on their debut album ''In Control''. They changed their name to Heavens Gate in 1987. Their first record as Heavens Gate was released in 1989. They were, together with German bands Helloween, Gamma Ray, Grave Digger, Running Wild, and Rage, the pioneers in German power metal, taking their influences mainly from Helloween as well as from Judas Priest. Luca Turilli (born 5 March 1972) is an Italian composer, arranger, producer and multi-instrumentalist constantly engaged in various musical projects. Having always declared to love music at 360 degrees, Turilli has dedicated himself to multiple musical genres, ranging from trance and electronic music of his first compositions to symphonic metal inspired by the world of soundtracks and also to modern pop and piano compositions of his current productions. He is one of the founders of the symphonic power metal band Rhapsody, later called Rhapsody of Fire., band for which he composed and arranged all music with his colleague Alex Staropoli from 1997 until the friendly split of 2011. Kamelot
Kamelot is an American power metal band from Tampa, Florida, formed by Thomas Youngblood, in 1987. The Norwegian vocalist Roy Khan joined for the album ''Siége Perilous'', and shared songwriting credit with Youngblood until his departure in April 2011. On June 22, 2012, Youngblood announced on their website that their new vocalist would be the Swedish singer Tommy Karevik, who was first featured on Kamelot's album ''Silverthorn'' as the main vocalist, co-songwriter, and lyricist. A supergroup is a musical group whose members are successful as solo artists or as members of other successful groups. A rock opera is a collection of rock music songs with lyrics that relate to a common story. Rock operas are typically released as concept albums and are not scripted for acting, which distinguishes them from operas, although several have been adapted as rock musicals. Avantasia is a German supergroup metal opera project created by Tobias Sammet, vocalist of the band Edguy. It has been characterized as a rock opera, as it features the contributions of various vocalists and musicians and it consists of concept albums. Conceived in 1999 as studio-only, two-album project, Avantasia has since released seven other studio albums and has toured the world multiple times. It can be divided into four periods of activity. ''The Flying Opera'' is a boxed set containing two DVDs and two CDs by the German power metal band Avantasia, released in March 2011.
