Robert M. Hopkins (November 3, 1934 – May 15, 2015) was an American basketball player and coach. Biography A native of Jonesboro, La., Hopkins participated in football, basketball, baseball, and track (He was invited to participate in the 1956 Olympic Games as a broad jumper but declined in order to sign with the Syracuse Nationals.) Over the course of his career he achieved all-state honors in football (twice). basketball (twice) and baseball (four times). He's most noted for playing college basketball at Grambling State University, where he scored 3,759 points (averaging 29.8 points per game for his career). He was the first Grambling player to make an all-American basketball team and the school's first professional player. Bobb Hopkins, also known as Santa Fe Bo, is an American writer, director, actor, and producer who was founding director of the National Hobo Association. Early life and education Hopkins was born in Lynn, Massachusetts, and attended Swampscott High School. He graduated from the University of New Hampshire with a degree in mathematics. Known at the time as Bob Hopkins, he was voted the top quarterback in the conference in the 1970 season. Career Hopkins has appeared in more than 25 movies and TV shows as an actor. Bobby Leroy Hopkins (June 8, 1957 – July 5, 2019) was an American football offensive guard who played one season for the Tampa Bay Bandits of the United States Football League (USFL). He was also a well-known arm-wrestler, winning 13 world titles. Early life and education Hopkins was born on June 8, 1957, in Baltimore, Maryland. He moved to St. Lucie County, Florida, when he was 13. He attended Fort Pierce Central High School. He went to college at Gardner–Webb University and played offensive lineman for their football team, the Runnin' Bulldogs. He was at college from 1977 to 1980. Robert Arthur Hopkins (born 25 October 1961) is an English former professional footballer who played as a winger. Hopkins was born in the Hall Green district of Birmingham, and started his playing career at Aston Villa his longest club he played for with whom he won the FA Youth Cup in 1980. He played in more than 300 Football League matches for Aston Villa, Birmingham City (in two spells), Manchester City, West Bromwich Albion, Shrewsbury Town and Colchester United. He also played in Hong Kong for Instant-Dict and for non-League clubs Solihull Borough and Bromsgrove Rovers. While at Birmingham, the club he has supported since childhood, he helped the club to win promotion to the First Division in 1985 and the Associate Members' Cup in 1991. He also scored the decisive own goal in an embarrassing FA Cup defeat at home to non-league club Altrincham.
