Robert Holcombe
Robert Wayne Holcombe (born December 11, 1975) is an American former professional football player who was a fullback for the St. Louis Rams and Tennessee Titans of the National Football League (NFL). College Holcombe played running back at Illinois, where he was the school’s all-time leading rusher with 4,105 yards. NFL career St. Louis Rams Holcombe was drafted in the second round of the 1998 NFL Draft by the St. Louis Rams. He started at fullback for the 1999 Super Bowl Championship team. Holcombe’s role with the Rams diminished with the emergence of undrafted James Hodgins into the starting fullback role. A running back (RB) is a member of the offensive backfield in gridiron football. Eddie George
Edward Nathan George Jr. (born September 24, 1973) is an American football coach and former player who is the current head coach at Tennessee State. He played as a running back in the National Football League (NFL) for nine seasons, primarily for the Houston / Tennessee Oilers / Titans franchise. He played college football at Ohio State and won the Heisman Trophy in 1995. He was drafted in the first round of the 1996 NFL Draft, and played professionally for the Tennessee Titans (both in Tennessee and in Houston when the franchise was known as the Houston Oilers) and Dallas Cowboys. The Heisman Memorial Trophy (usually known colloquially as the Heisman Trophy or The Heisman) is awarded annually to the most outstanding player in college football. Marshall William Faulk (born February 26, 1973) is an American former football running back who played in the National Football League (NFL) for 13 seasons with the Indianapolis Colts and St. Louis Rams. He is widely regarded as one of the greatest running backs of all time. Faulk played college football at San Diego State, where he was a two-time consensus All-American. James William Hodgins (born April 30, 1977) is a former American football fullback. High school Hodgins graduated from Oak Grove High School in his birthplace of San Jose, California in 1995 and lettered in football, basketball, and track. College career At San Jose State University, Hodgins played four years on the San Jose State Spartans football team from 1995 to 1998 seasons. Hodgins was a fullback for his first three seasons. In 1996 as a sophomore, Hodgins had 326 yards rushing on 70 carries and 116 yards on 16 pass receptions. As a junior in 1997, Hodgins rushed for 237 yards on 50 carries and made one 14-yard reception. The 1998 NFL draft was the procedure by which National Football League teams selected amateur college football players. It is officially known as the NFL Annual Player Selection Meeting. The draft was held April 18–19, 1998, at the Theater at Madison Square Garden in New York City. The league also held a supplemental draft after the regular draft and before the regular season. Before the draft, there was much debate in the media on if the Indianapolis Colts would select Peyton Manning or Ryan Leaf with the first overall pick.
