Robert Gale (musician)
Robert Gale is principal trombone with The Philadelphia Brass, the Opera Company of Philadelphia, the Chamber Orchestra of Philadelphia and a member of the pit orchestra of the Walnut Street Theatre. He has been a member of the music faculties of Swarthmore College and Valley Forge Military Academy and is currently on the faculty of The College of New Jersey. He has performed with the St. Louis and Richmond Symphonies and has recorded extensively for many vocal artists, television and major motion pictures. Robert Peter Gale
Robert Peter Gale (born October 11, 1945) is an American physician and medical researcher. He is known for research in leukemia and other bone marrow disorders (such as aplastic anemia). Education Gale received his A.B. degree with honors in biology and chemistry from Hobart College in 1966 and his M.D. degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo in 1970 (with Evan Caukins, Robin Bannerman and John Edwards). His postgraduate medical training ( internal medicine, hematology and oncology) was at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) from 1970 to 1973. In 1976 he received a Ph.D. in microbiology and immunology from the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA) following doctoral work focusing on cancer immunology (with John Fahey). His postdoctoral studies at UCLA were funded by the U.S. National Institutes of Health (NIH) and the Leukemia Society of America, where he was the Bogart Fellow and Scholar. Michael Robert Gale (born May 25, 1951) is an American screenwriter, comic book writer, film producer and director. He is best known for co-writing the science fiction comedy film ''Back to the Future'' with his writing partner Robert Zemeckis. Gale co-produced all three films of the franchise and later served as associate producer of the animated TV series. Actor Michael J. Fox has referred to Gale as "gatekeeper of the 'Back to the Future''franchise". Early life Gale was born to a Jewish family in University City, Missouri, the son of Maxine, née Kippel, (died 2010), an art dealer and violinist, and Mark R. Bob Gale (basketball)
Robert W. Gale (April 22, 1925 – May 29, 1975) was an American basketball player. He was an All-American college player at Cornell and a first-round pick in the 1948 BAA draft. Gale went to Andrew Jackson High School in New York City and came to Cornell in 1943 as part of a Naval training program. Due to the shortage of college-aged players brought about by World War II, Gale was one of many freshmen nationwide who were allowed to play despite NCAA eligibility rules of the day. He quickly captured the starting center spot for the Big Red. At the close of the season he was named to the All- Eastern Intercollegiate League team. Following the regular season, Gale's V-12 training program moved him to conference rival Dartmouth. Dartmouth had won the Eastern Intercollegiate Basketball League but had lost seven of its top ten players to military service. Life Gale was born in Old Warden in Bedfordshire and was educated at Bedford Modern School, where he captained the school cricket team from 1951 to 1953. After national service in the Army, he represented Middlesex as a swashbuckling left-handed opening batsman between 1956 and 1965. He forged a successful opening partnership with Eric Russell. His highest score was 200, scored in only five hours, against Glamorgan at Newport in July 1962. With Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) teams he toured South America in 1964–65, Canada and the United States in 1967, and the Netherlands in 1968. He established a successful career in the City of London following his retirement from first-class cricket.
