Robert Francois
Robert Joseph Francois (born May 14, 1985) is a former American football linebacker. He last played for the Green Bay Packers of the National Football League who he won Super Bowl XLV with against the Pittsburgh Steelers. He was signed by the Minnesota Vikings as an undrafted free agent in 2009 and was also a member of the Detroit Lions that same preseason. He played college football at Boston College Eagles football, Boston College. Early years Francois played wide receiver, tight end and Safety (American football position), safety for Governor Dummer Academy. As a senior, he gained Team MVP and All-New England honors. Linebacker
Linebacker (LB) is a playing position in gridiron football. Linebackers are members of the defensive team, and line up three to five yards behind the line of scrimmage and the defensive linemen. They are the "middle ground" of defenders, playing closer to the line of scrimmage than the defensive backs (secondary), but farther back than the defensive linemen. As such, linebackers play a hybrid role and are often the most versatile players on the defensive side of the ball; they can be asked to play roles similar to either a defensive lineman (such as stopping the runner on a running play) or a defensive back (such as dropping back into pass coverage). Tight End
The tight end (TE) is a position in American football, arena football, and Canadian football, on the offense. The tight end is often a hybrid position with the characteristics and roles of both an offensive lineman and a wide receiver. Like offensive linemen, they are usually lined up on the offensive line and are large enough to be effective blockers. On the other hand, unlike offensive linemen, they are eligible receivers adept enough to warrant a defense's attention when running pass patterns. Because of the hybrid nature of the position, the tight end's role in any given offense depends on the tactical preferences and philosophy of the head coach as well as overall team dynamic. Brian Toal
Brian P. Toal (born March 8, 1985) is a former American football linebacker. He was drafted by the Las Vegas Locomotives in the UFL Premiere Season Draft in 2009. He played college football at Boston College. He has also been a member of the New York Jets, but not played, and was married to Phil Simms' daughter Dierdre. Early years Toal grew up in Wyckoff, New Jersey. The 2007 Champs Sports Bowl was the 18th edition of the college football bowl game. The 2006 Meineke Car Care Bowl was a college football bowl game. It featured the Navy Midshipmen, and the Boston College Eagles. The game was played on Saturday, December 30, 2006, at 1:00 PM EST. Boston College got on the board first following a 2-yard touchdown run by quarterback Matt Ryan. The extra point failed, and Boston College led 6–0. Navy Midshipmen Football
The Navy Midshipmen football team represents the United States Naval Academy in NCAA Division I FBS (Football Bowl Subdivision) college football. The Naval Academy completed its final season as an FBS independent school (not in a conference) in 2014, and became a single-sport member of the American Athletic Conference beginning in the 2015 season. The team is currently coached by Brian Newberry, who was promoted in 2022, following his stint as the Midshipmen defensive coordinator. Redshirt, in United States college athletics, is a delay or suspension of an athlete's participation in order to lengthen their period of eligibility. Typically, a student's athletic eligibility in a given sport is four seasons, aligning with the four years of academic classes typically required to earn a bachelor's degree at an American college or university.
