Robert Ford (American Football)
Robert Ford (born June 21, 1951) is an American football coach. He won three Super Bowls with the Dallas Cowboys of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at the University of Houston. He is the current Offensive Coordinator of the Orlando Guardians Early years Ford attended Belton High School, where he played as a running back. He accepted a football scholarship from the University of Houston, where he was switched to wide receiver. His roommate was future NFL player Robert Newhouse. As a sophomore and junior, he was a backup wide receiver. He was named the starter as a senior in 1972, leading the team in receiving with 35 receptions for 538 yards (15.4-yard avg.) and 4 receiving touchdowns, earning third-team All-American honors. Offensive Coordinator
An offensive coordinator is a member of the coaching staff of an American football or Canadian football team who is in charge of the team's offense. Generally, along with the defensive coordinator and the special teams coordinator, this coach represents the second level of coaching structure after the head coach. The offensive coordinator is in charge of the team's offensive game plan, and typically calls offensive plays during the game, although some offensive-minded head coaches also handle play-calling. Several position coaches work under the offensive coordinator (position groupings can include quarterbacks, wide receivers, offensive line, running backs, and tight ends). The Texas Southern Tigers is the college football team representing Texas Southern University, a historically black university (HBCU) in Houston. A running back (RB) is a member of the offensive backfield in gridiron football.
