Robert Ferguson (c. 1637–1714) was a Scotland, Scottish presbyterian minister, conspirator and political pamphleteer, known as "the Plotter". Ancestry He was the eldest son of William Ferguson (d. 1699) of Badifurrow, Aberdeenshire (traditional), Aberdeenshire, Scotland and Janet Black. Robert Ferguson House
Robert Ferguson House was a historic home located near Newark, Delaware, Newark, New Castle County, Delaware. The original was built between 1790 and 1810, and formed a two-story, two-bay, single pile frame section. A lower, two-story one-room section was added about 1835 and a one-story, two-bay section was added about 1900. Also on the property was a contributing shed. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1979. The buildings were demolished during the widening of Delaware Route 4 in the early 1980s. References External links

Robert Louis (Bob) Ferguson (October 26, 1932 – August 12, 2022) was a nuclear-trained physicist and a 60-year veteran in the field of nuclear energy. He was best known for being appointed the first Deputy Assistant Secretary for Nuclear Energy Programs for the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) by the first Energy Secretary, James Schlesinger, serving from 1978 to 1980 during President Jimmy Carter's administration. Ferguson was also known for taking leadership of the Washington Public Power Supply System (WPPSS) in 1980 as the "no nonsense manager" during troubled times for the nuclear power industry. Ferguson was one of three private citizens who successfully sued President Barack Obama and the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) for illegally shutting down the Yucca Mountain nuclear waste repository project. Robert McNair Ferguson (1829–1912) was a Scottish mathematician and a founder of the Edinburgh Mathematical Society. Life and work He was born on 8 July 1829, the son of John Ferguson, a pawnbroker, and his wife, Elisabeth Cochran. He was educated at the Free Church Training College (Edinburgh). He studied natural philosophy in the university of Edinburgh and, after, in the university of Heidelberg where he was awarded with a PhD in 1855 tutored by Robert Bunsen. From 1858 till his retirement in 1898 he was headmaster in the Edinburgh Institute (now known as Stewart's Melville College), where he taught among others William Cunningham. He lost a leg in a school laboratory explosion in 1897. He was founding member of the Edinburgh Mathematical Society in 1883 and was elected his president in 1885–1886.
