Robert Calderwood (4 October 1862 – 13 May 1939) was a Scottish footballer who played as an outside left or centre forward for Cartvale (1878 club), Cowlairs, Bootle, Newcastle West End, Thistle, Cartvale (1892 club) and Scotland. Busby, East Renfrewshire
Busby is a village in East Renfrewshire, Scotland. Busby is in the same urban area as Glasgow, although it is administratively separate. It lies on the White Cart Water south of Glasgow City Centre and northwest of the outskirts of East Kilbride. It directly adjoins the town of Clarkston, East Renfrewshire, Clarkston, with which the village is closely associated. History As a settlement, Busby dates back at least 700 years. Historically, the village was called Bushby. Its modern origins may be dated to several significant changes in the 1780s. The first big change was in the landscape. 1884–85 British Home Championship
The 1884–85 British Home Championship was the second football tournament between the Home Nations and was, like the previous competition, won by a Scottish team which completely dominated proceedings. The English also performed well, beginning with a strong victory over Ireland but failing to capitalise on this start with 1–1 draws with Wales and Scotland. The Welsh thrashed Ireland 8–1 but were well beaten 8–2 by the Scots who won their final game in a similar scoreline against the Irish, who finished last having conceded 20 goals in three games. The 1887–88 Scottish Cup was the 15th season of Scotland's most prestigious football knockout competition. Renton won the competition for the second time after they beat Cambuslang 6–1 in the final. The result set a new record as the largest margin of victory in a Scottish Cup Final - a record that was equalled by Celtic in 1972 but has never been bettered. William Anderson (Scottish Footballer)
William Anderson (born 25 April 1862) was a Scottish footballer who played as a right winger. He played club football for Queen's Park and appeared in the sides that won the Scottish Cup in 1881, 1882 and 1884, and finished as runners-up in the English FA Cup in 1884 and 1885. He made his international debut for Scotland on 11 March 1882 and went on to play six matches in the next three years, never ending on the losing side.
