Robert Bristow (December 1662 – 27 August 1706) was an English politician. He was a Member of Parliament (MP) for Winchelsea from 23 July 1698 to November 1701. He died aged 43. Robert Bristow (1688–1737)
Robert Bristow (18 October 1688 – 3 November 1737) of Micheldever in Hampshire was an English politician. His father Robert (1662–1706) and his brother John were both Members of Parliament. Bristow himself was a director of the Bank of England from 1713 to 1716 and 1718 to 1720 and a director of the East India Company from 1716 to 1717. He was a Member of Parliament (MP) for Winchelsea from 1708 to 1737, and was employed in the royal household as Clerk of the Green Cloth from 1720 until his death. Robert Bristow (1712 – 9 December 1776) of Micheldever in Hampshire was an English politician. Robert Bristow (engineer)
Sir Robert Bristow (13 December 1880 – 3 September 1966) was a British harbour engineer best known for his contributions to the development of the port of Kochi (Cochin) in Kerala, India and is regarded as the architect of modern Kochi port. Bristow recounted his experiences in his book ''Cochin Saga'', which is considered an important source of historiography of Kerala. He is also noted for his initiatives in founding the ''Lotus Club'', the first inter-racial club in Kochi. He was also a member of the Royal Society of Arts. Early life Born in London on 13 December 1880 to Alfred Bristow and Laura Web, Bristow studied at the Technical Institute in London and joined the Civil Engineering Service in 1903. He graduated as an architect from the City College of London and the Technical Institute of London. Robert O'Neil Bristow (November 17, 1926 – August 15, 2018) was an American novelist known for depicting the lives of Black Americans in small town South Carolina during the years surrounding desegregation. His novel ''Time for Glory'' (1968, William Morrow & Co.) received the University of Oklahoma award for literary excellence and was designated as recommended reading by the Black Panther Party and the Christian Book List. Early years Robert O'Neil Bristow (Bob Bristow) was born to advertising executive Jesse Reuben Bristow and Helen Margorie (Utley) Bristow in St. Louis, Missouri, and was the older brother to Margorie Bristow Allen.
