Robert Boskovic
Robert Boskovic (born July 1, 1998) is a Canadian professional soccer player who plays as a centre-back with the Serbian White Eagles in the Canadian Soccer League. University career Boskovic played collegiately with the Ryerson Rams. In 2016, he won the Lou Bilek Award as U Sports Rookie of the Year becoming the first Ryerson player to do so since its inception in 1999. Club career Toronto FC II Boskovic made his USL debut on August 15, 2015, against the Richmond Kickers. Boskovic made three appearances for Toronto FC II during the 2015 USL season, after being rewarded with a call-up from the TFC Academy. On August 1, 2015, he made his professional debut when coming off the bench in a 2–1 victory over Richmond Kickers. He soon followed up with a second cameo appearance in 3–2 win over FC Montreal. Toronto FC II is a Canadian professional soccer team based in Toronto, Ontario, who play in MLS Next Pro, a third tier league of the United States soccer league system. It is the reserve team and minor league affiliate of Toronto FC as well as in partnership with Toronto FC Academy. FC Montreal was a Canadian professional soccer team based in Montreal, Quebec, Canada that played in the USL Championship, the third tier of the United States soccer league system. The team served as a reserve team of Major League Soccer (MLS) club, Montreal Impact. 2021 Canadian Premier League
The 2021 Canadian Premier League season was the third season of the Canadian Premier League, the top level of Canadian soccer. Forge FC were defending champions, after defeating HFX Wanderers FC in the 2020 final. The season was planned to commence on May 22, the Victoria Day weekend, pending the approval of government authorities and the state of the COVID-19 pandemic in Canada. However, on May 14, it was announced that the start was to be pushed back to mid-June or early July. On June 5, the league committed to a full 28-match season, but that the season would begin in a single-site bubble at IG Field in Winnipeg, Manitoba, promoted as "The Kickoff", with each team playing eight matches between June 26 and July 24. 2020 CONCACAF Men's Olympic Qualifying Championship
The 2020 CONCACAF Men's Olympic Qualifying Championship was the fifteenth and final edition of the CONCACAF Men's Olympic Qualifying, the quadrennial, international, age-restricted football tournament organised by CONCACAF to determine which men's under-23 national teams from the North, Central America and Caribbean region qualify for the Olympic football tournament. In August 2019, it was announced that the tournament would be hosted in Guadalajara and Zapopan, both cities in the state of Jalisco, Mexico, with the tournament originally scheduled to take place between 20 March and 1 April 2020.
