Robert B. Docking
Robert Blackwell Docking (October 9, 1925October 8, 1983) was an American politician who served as the List of governors of Kansas, 38th governor of Kansas from 1967 until 1975. Early life Born in Kansas City, Missouri, Docking attended public school in Lawrence, Kansas, before attending the University of Kansas, and served in the United States Army Air Forces during World War II. After the war, Docking moved to Arkansas City, Kansas, where he became a successful banker, and was elected mayor. Political career Docking was elected governor in 1966 as a member of the Democratic Party (United States), Democratic Party over the incumbent Republican, William H. Avery (politician), William Avery, whom Docking harangued for leaving the state when there was work to be done in Kansas. John Crutcher
John William Crutcher (December 19, 1916 – March 13, 2017) was an American politician. Crutcher served in the Kansas State Senate from 1953 to 1957. He was the 35th Lieutenant Governor of Kansas from 1965 to 1969. Crutcher served as Commissioner of the Postal Rate Commission from 1982 to 1993, and as a member of the National Transportation Policy Study Commission. He was an alumnus of the University of Kansas (1940) and a veteran of the United States Navy and United States Naval Reserve.
