Robert A. Bradway
Robert A. Bradway is an American businessman. He is the chairman and chief executive officer of Amgen. Education Bradway holds a B.S. degree in biology from Amherst College and an MBA from Harvard University. Career Bradway joined Morgan Stanley in New York in 1985 as a health care industry investment banker. In 1990 he moved to London, where he served as managing director of Morgan Stanley with responsibility for the firm's banking department and corporate finance activities in Europe. Bradway joined Amgen in 2006 as vice president of operations strategy, and served as executive vice president and chief financial officer from April 2007 to May 2010. He was its president and chief operating officer from May 2010 to May 2012. In October 2011, he was appointed to the Amgen board of directors. Amherst College
Amherst College ( ) is a private liberal arts college in Amherst, Massachusetts. Founded in 1821 as an attempt to relocate Williams College by its then-president Zephaniah Swift Moore, Amherst is the third oldest institution of higher education in Massachusetts. George Floyd
George Perry Floyd Jr. (October 14, 1973 – May 25, 2020) was an African-American man who was murdered by a police officer in Minneapolis, Minnesota, during an arrest made after a store clerk suspected Floyd may have used a counterfeit twenty-dollar bill, on May 25, 2020. Derek Chauvin, one of the four police officers who arrived on the scene, knelt on Floyd's neck and back for 9 minutes and 29 seconds which caused a lack of oxygen. After his murder, protests against police brutality, especially towards black people, quickly spread across the United States and globally. His dying words, "I can't breathe," became a rallying slogan. Life extension is the concept of extending the human lifespan, either modestly through improvements in medicine or dramatically by increasing the maximum lifespan beyond its generally-settled limit of 125 years.
