Robby Reed
Robby Reed is a fictional character from DC Comics and the original protagonist of the long running comic book series ''Dial H for Hero''. In the series he is portrayed as a normal boy who transforms himself as a variety of superheroes. Fictional character biography The character debuted in ''House of Mystery'' #156 (January 1966), and his storyline continued until issue #173 (March–April 1968). The art was by Jim Mooney (though he did not finish the run), with scripts by Dave Wood. The original owner of the dial is portrayed as Robert "Robby" Reed, a highly intelligent teenager with a penchant for exclaiming "Sockamagee!" He lives in the fictional town of Littleville, Colorado with his grandfather "Gramps" Reed and their housekeeper Miss Millie. During a camping trip, Robby accidentally falls into a cavern and discovers the dial in one of its alcoves. The origins of the dial and how it came to be in the cavern are never revealed. Jim Mooney
James Noel Mooney (August 13, 1919 – March 30, 2008) was an American comics artist best known for his long tenure at DC Comics and as the signature artist of Supergirl, as well as a Marvel Comics inker and Spider-Man artist, both during what comics historians and fans call the Silver Age of Comic Books and what is known as the Bronze Age of Comic Books. He sometimes inked under the pseudonym Jay Noel. Biography Early life and career Jim Mooney was born in New York City and raised in Los Angeles. Friends with pulp-fiction author Henry Kuttner and Californian science-fiction fans such as Forrest J. Ackerman, he drew the cover for the first issue of ''Imagination'', an Ackerman fanzine that included Ray Bradbury's first published story, " Hollerbochen's Dilemma". Kuttner encouraged the teenaged Mooney to submit art to Farnsworth Wright, the editor of the pulp magazine for which Kuttner was writing, ''Weird Tales''. Doctor Light (Arthur Light)
Doctor Light is a bipartite character comprising supervillain Arthur Light and superhero Jacob Finlay, appearing in comic books published by DC Comics. His stint as Doctor Light is concurrent with that of a superheroine using the same name and a nearly identical costume, Kimiyo Hoshi. In 2009, Doctor Light was ranked as IGN's 84th-greatest comic book villain of all time. He made his live-adaptation debut in one episode of the series '' Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman'', played by David Bowe. Zeus is a fictional deity in the DC Comics universe, an interpretation of Zeus from Greek mythology. His appearances are most significant in stories of Wonder Woman (Princess Diana).
