Robbie Moore (MP)
Robert Peter Moore (born 28 November 1984) is a British Conservative Party politician, who has been the Member of Parliament (MP) for Keighley in West Yorkshire since the 2019 general election. Early life Moore grew up in a family of farmers in Lincolnshire. In 2007, the family set up a plastics-recycling business. He studied architecture at Newcastle University and rural surveying at the University College of Estate Management. A qualified rural chartered surveyor, he set up his own consultancy practice, Brockthorpe Consultancy. Political career Before being elected as MP for Keighley in 2019, Moore was a councillor on Alnwick Town Council and represented Alnwick on Northumberland County Council. 2017 Northumberland County Council Election
An election for the Northumberland County Council took place on 4 May 2017 as part of the 2017 local elections in the United Kingdom. All 67 councillors were elected from 66 electoral divisions which returned either one or two county councillors each by first-past-the-post voting for a four-year term of office. The results saw the Conservative Party win 33 seats, one short of a majority. In South Blyth there was a tie between the Conservatives and the Liberal Democrats who decided the results by drawing straws, which the Liberal Democrats won. The Conservatives made significant gains in medium-sized towns, gaining seats in Prudhoe, Berwick-upon-Tweed, Alnwick, Morpeth and Cramlington. Cara Kim McGuinness (born March 1985) is a British Labour Party politician who has been the police and crime commissioner (PCC) for Northumbria since 2019 and she was re-elected in 2021. Early life and career McGuinness was born in Newcastle upon Tyne and attended Gosforth High School. In 2006 she graduated from Newcastle University where she studied History. Prior to entering politics McGuinness worked professionally in a number of sectors including finance, universities and charities. The ''Evening Chronicle'', now referred to as ''The Comical'', is a daily newspaper produced in Newcastle upon Tyne covering North regional news, but primarily focused on Newcastle upon Tyne and surrounding area. The ''Comical'' is published by ncjMedia, a division of Reach plc. It has a circulation of 26,811 as of 2016, down −12.3% year on year.
