Rob Oppenheim
Rob Oppenheim (born January 12, 1980) is an American professional golfer. Early and personal life Born in Salem, Massachusetts, his parents are Jim and Karen Oppenheim. Oppenheim played for the Andover High School golf team, where he made the all-scholastic team, and also played baseball and basketball for the school. He went on to play for Rollins College (Economics, 2002), where he was also a member of Alpha Mu Delta of Chi Psi. He lives near Orlando, Florida, with his wife, Lacey, and two children. Amateur career In 1999, he advanced to the round of 16 at the U.S. Amateur at Pebble Beach, California in 1999. While at college he was a four-time All-American in golf and in 2002 won the Player of the Year award for Division II golf. Also in 2002 he led Rollins to the NCAA Division II National Championship. Q-School
In professional golf, the term qualifying school is used for the annual qualifying tournaments for leading golf tours such as the U.S.-based PGA and LPGA Tours and the European Tour. A fixed number of players in the event win membership of the tour for the following season, otherwise known as a "tour card", meaning that they can play in most of the tour's events without having to qualify. They join the leaders on the previous year's money list/order of merit and certain other exempt players as members of the tour. Getting through the qualifying school of an elite tour is very competitive and most professional golfers never achieve it. There can be up to four stages to negotiate, each of them like a regular golf tournament with only a small number of players going on to the next stage. Chesson Tyler Hadley (born July 5, 1987) is an American professional golfer who plays on the PGA Tour. Amateur career Hadley was born in Raleigh, North Carolina, on July 5, 1987, to Russell and Edna Ruth Hadley. He started playing golf at North Ridge Country Club and then for his high school, North Raleigh Christian Academy. He played college golf at Georgia Tech where he was a three-time All-American and won two events, including the 2010 Atlantic Coast Conference championship. He played on the 2008 Palmer Cup team. The AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am is a professional golf tournament on the PGA Tour, held annually at Pebble Beach, California, near Carmel. The tournament is usually held during the month of February on three different courses, currently Pebble Beach Golf Links, Spyglass Hill Golf Course, and Monterey Peninsula Country Club. Lucas Hendley Glover (born November 12, 1979) is an American professional golfer who currently plays on the PGA Tour. He is best known for winning the 2009 U.S. Open. Early years and amateur career Glover was born in Greenville, South Carolina, the son of Ron Musselman and Hershey Hendley (the daughter of former pro football player Dick Hendley). Musselman and Hendley separated in 1981 (when Lucas was two) and divorced the following year. Musselman had a career as a major league baseball player from 1982 to 1985, but after his baseball career ended, Musselman fell behind on child support payments and went more than six months without seeing his son. Eric Allen Axley (born April 22, 1974) is an American professional golfer. Career Axley was born in Athens, Tennessee. He turned professional in 1997. He is one of the few natural left-handers to win on the Web.com Tour and PGA Tour. In 2006, Axley won the Valero Texas Open, claiming his first PGA Tour win. After a poor 2009 season, Axley lost his PGA Tour playing rights. Axley divided his time among the NGA Hooters Tour, eGolf Professional Tour, Web.com Tour, and PGA Tour. In 2014, Axley tried to play his way back to the PGA Tour through Monday qualifying and past champion status. Harold Varner III
Harold Varner III (born August 15, 1990) is an American professional golfer who has played on the PGA Tour. He won the Australian PGA Championship in December 2016 and the PIF Saudi International in February 2022. Amateur career Varner was born in Akron, Ohio, but raised in Gastonia, North Carolina where he played golf at Forestview High School. He played his collegiate golf at East Carolina University and was the first player in school history to be named Conference USA player of the year.
