Rob Harris is an American nurse and politician who is currently serving as a member of the South Carolina House of Representatives from the 36th district. Harris is a Republican. Political Career In the June 2022 Republican primary Harris defeated incumbent Rita Allison, who had held the office since 2008. He was unopposed in the 2022 general election. The South Carolina House of Representatives is the lower house of the South Carolina General Assembly. It consists of 124 representatives elected to two-year terms at the same time as U.S. congressional elections. Unlike many legislatures, seating on the floor is not divided by party, but is arranged by county delegation – a legacy of the original apportionment of the chamber.
